ah you don't have the most current version.

If you bought the version you have, the same reg key will activate the updated versions

Change tmail.exe String value #1 to the full path of the executable of the SMS client you want to use. Start with "\"
If the path contains spaces - put it in quotes

For example: "\My Storage\Program Files\VITO\SMS-Chat\SMSChat.exe"

This will change the default SMS client in windows native interface. However, if you use some third party software that allows to send messages from the Contacts interface - it depends how it is implemented. If the developers call registry values it will work fine, but if they hardcoded into the code a path to WM native executable for messaging - tmail.exe - it'll still launch the default windows client.

Re: sms-chat as default message program

when you installed SMS-Chat you were prompted with install location by wm installer - you had 3 options:
1. Device
2. My Storage
3. Storage Card
your install path is whatever you chose above preceeded with "\" and followed by "\Program Files\VITO\SMS-Chat\SMSChat.exe"

Re: sms-chat as default message program

thanks I have found where to edit this in the registry and i know my path now

"\My Device\Program Files\VITO\SMS-Chat\SMSChat.exe"

Is this right...mine is installed to the device itself but when i try to make this change i get an error saying it can not accept this...what do i need to change?
