its worth a shot to try again, but like we stated.. after you flash and you get to the align screen.. be prepared to SOFT RESET (push the botton on bottom of phone with stylus) before it does autio customization. because thats what makes it a sprint rom..

but from what i understand you have to call verizon to get your phone authenticated back on the verizon network anyways..

Delete your Ha and AAA shared secrets (they are the sprint ones) and mirror my settings and try data again. Make sure the mirror of these settings are in your phone and the mip default profile is enabled. Also go to security tab in ##778 menu and check to make sure you have the correct vzw nai not a sprint one. Then call for dmu reset after.

I just deleted my ha and aaa and called tech support b/c data didn't work ( go figure) to try to figure this out. After telling the tech I deleted my ha & aaa keys he had me get a new akey which didn't help (procedure) and finally had me power cycle the radio to dmu reset. That fixed the problem and he said it was my phone got set to IS-95 mode b/c of the AAA secret error. After the fix my phone wrote the new HA & AAA secrets so the spots under M.IP defualt in ##778 were no longer blank and data worked again.

I want to know what did you get from flashing your verizon xv6900 now? what did you get the you did not have it befor?

Threaded SMS

GPS Radio that works

Live Search is killer with the GPS Working ... as is Google Maps - blue dot is da bomb.

I want to ask if its possible to make a dump of your ROM with all this updates?
And can we just flash our Verizon with this ROM with out doing OMJs?
If not is there any WM 6.1 update for Verizon xv6900?

his rom probably is omj's, there is no official release of 6.1 yet. and you have to update the radio first, then flash the 6.1 rom

so...just got my replacement after two days and after reading other verizon users i think imma wait a little bit before trying again. It sounds like after using unlocker 2.31, upgrading radio, making sure customizaitons dont run and flashing OMJ ...you'll still need to call verizon to get a new AKEY and also may have trouble getting a signal....but please correct me if i'm wrong, because i'm ready to try this again just need to be confident before.

my only prolbem is that I don't want to call Verizon, they will ask and ask when and when then they say I have to take my phone to the Tech center to let them see it. I will wait until Verizon will release the update (maybe they will in this life time!)

they just recently announced that they would release an update for the treo700 making it wm 6.0.. which is now outdated anyway.. that handset has been out for what 2 years or so now.. verizon isn't one to let you get true potential out of any of their phones.. look at their ui on non-smartphones.. it cripples everything it touches
