Wow can't believe tech support missed that the ppp error requires a simple dmu reset. Call them back tell them you are getting error 11 ppp error and specifically ask for a dmu reset. Its a 2-3 minute fix and must have been a rookie tech to miss that.

it seems that all my features only work when i have it connected to my pc. when it try's to dial #777, it fails with a ppp error

Check your connection in connection , settings. Username should be your#@vzw3g.com and password vzw.

I'm sorry to hear that, try to do this under connactions > connactions try to add 2 new connactions one for (My connection) your phone number, and the other one for (Data Network Connect (#777) please let us know if it working. |
