Please Help. Verizon Xv6900 Issue
 
i recently flashed to omj's 6.1 rom. everything is great except data connection. i get a ppp error: user name and password incorrect. i spent 3 hours on the phone with tech support and no dice. anyhelp would be appreciatted.

Wow can't believe tech support missed that the ppp error requires a simple dmu reset. Call them back tell them you are getting error 11 ppp error and specifically ask for a dmu reset. Its a 2-3 minute fix and must have been a rookie tech to miss that.

Try flashing back to original rom, *228 option 1.

it seems that all my features only work when i have it connected to my pc. when it try's to dial #777, it fails with a ppp error

Check your connection in connection , settings. Username should be your#@vzw3g.com and password vzw.

Check your MIP setting under ##778 menu against these

MIP Profile
Number of profiles: 6
Active user profile index: 0
MIP_MODE: Mobile IP Prefered
MIP Reg Retries: 2
MIP Reg Retry: 1750 ms
MIP Pre-Reg Timeout: 0
Mobile Node-HA: Enable
Send A Reg: Disable
Dormant Handoff Opt: Enable

MIP Default Profile
Enable Profile: Enable
NAI: mynumber@vzw3g.com (MDN@vzw3g.com)
DUN NAI: MDN@vzw3g.com so you can tether without a tethering package or MDN@dun.vzw3g.com if you want paid tethering

MN HA SPI Value: 12C
MN AAA SPI Set: Enable

Yes, when i ran the sprint leaked rom i accidently let it run. now i wasn't sure if i should let the customization settings for the verizon rom run or not. as for the settings everything is good except that the ha shared secret and aaa shared secret both have 255.255...etc i don't know what you mean by garbled characters. i also noticed that under home sid/home nid settings, i have 22/65535....is that correct?? i don't think verizon uses 22

hi there,
I'm sorry to hear that, try to do this under connactions > connactions try to add 2 new connactions
one for (My connection) your phone number, and the other one for (Data Network Connect (#777)

please let us know if it working.
