Re: Please Help. Verizon Xv6900 Issue

That is true, I know Verizon maybe will never release any update for xv6900
But I’m not 100% sure about my self that I will do all the steps on how to flash my phone. I know its to much to ask but if any one that will do this steps can you do it on photos? images of the steps.. not calling verizon, just the steps of running the ROM

I'm not sure how bad your issue is, but the following thread added some insight:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=28561

I got "Verizon Wireless" back, but the data now says invalid username and password.

Re: Please Help. Verizon Xv6900 Issue

I had the same issue. Verizon Techs were useless. What I ended up doing was going into my verizonwireless account online and activated my old phone (vx8100). The site told me that the PDA data plan I had was not valid for that phone, so it removed it. Then I went back, and activated the XV6900, added the data plan back in, and did the *228 thing. Both voice and data came back and have been working fine since. This was after upgrading to the new radio, trying some very bad ideas, completely hosing my phone, bringing it back to the stock radio and original Verizon ROM, then upgrading the radio and image again. Using this method, I didn't even have to do the #8877 thing to get voice working again. BTW, this was all within the first 36 hours of having the phone... That was a wild couple of days! Thanks PPCGeeks!

Re: Please Help. Verizon Xv6900 Issue

I really appreciate the info you posted. I was finally able to get my 6900 back on the vz network. I thought mine was dead because i let the customizations run on all the flash. I guess I didn't read enough. So the key is don't let the custom run after the vogue initial boot, that is after wm does it's prelaunch or what? My vogue is flashed with the ver/radio 3.37.77 but the gps still does not work with google maps. What do you suggest? Well I can connect data for now. Thanks again for the data strings.

When I flashed the Alltell ROM, the NAI was (mynumber)@alltell.com. I changed it back to (mynumber)@vzw3g.com and no problems since. Thanks for the tip, it worked great and saved me several hours on the line with VZW.
