Re: Just got my Touch in the mail.. what do I do first?! :)

Back to original thread subject:
I see already a couple of threads on screen protectors. Now, what would be recommendations for either a hard case/shell, or a silicon skin type of cover for the rest of the unit?
Not by the ROM alone the PPC exists!

Re: Just got my Touch in the mail.. what do I do first?! :)

silicon skin would look better. however some cheap versions may be a bit flimsy and lose. remember to test it on the spot as the colour variations and the colour of the silicon skin should match the colour of your phone.

a hard case/shell would make the phone look bulky and cheap after awhile, because *** you use the phone, scratches would appear all over the transparent casing. that would be an eyesore.

the verdict : the silicon skin.

If you are interested in sending picture mail directly to contacts without having to send it to an email (which is default in WM phones) I would suggest the app sMMS.

its entirely up to your personal taste. like i said, crystal case would make the phone look thicker.

however, chicubs preferance is for a crystal case and i respect that. but for me i would rather get a silicon case. looks sexier

I too am interested in this,
stock touch, and i want to upgrade to rev A and GPS,
Can anyone else verify that we dont need to unlock?

I just noticed that sprint offically released the new rom with GPS,
if i take it to a sprint customer center will they perform the rom upgrade for me? I dont really have much of a clue when it comes to ppc stuff, im just now learning.

Just wanted to offer some encouragement. Yes, it will seem daunting to upgrade to the GPS and Rev. A...but it's SO worth it. You will learn a lot very quickly on this board. Best of luck.
