Thing is, nowhere in the stickied threads does it mention about Verizon users needing to put an akey number in to get signal after flashing to a new radio. You have to dig through the threads, many of which are >30 pages long.

Simple advice for Verizon users who flash a new radio. For many (not all) they will find no signal or long signal acquisition times. Call VzW and ask for an akey number. They will not automatically do this, as it took two calls to CS didn't get this until I called a third time and specifically asked for it (akey).

That's all I'm saying. Relative newcomers to the site would benefit from knowing this.

I don't have my 6900 yet but from what I have read:

I think the advise for Verizon users would be to go to the ##778 menu and write down their akey setting on piece of paper before doing any radio updates.

Also, I've been in the phone mod game since the e815 but this is my first post to this forum... so hello all! Hope I can contribute.

Before I loaded the Sprint PPST.exe [which was AFTER 3 different ROM flashes] and ran it .... ##786 did nothing on my phone [as I recall] I may not remember that exactly correct.

Re: Verizon XV6900 No Signal

I have a xv6800 and had same issue. Got A key and all was good for 2 days. Suddenly I'm now having the same issue. Takes about 30 mins to aquire a signal. I'm on No2chem 5067. Curious if any one has started having the issue again.

Re: Verizon XV6900 No Signal

do a hard reset....turn off phone and then take out the battery for about a minute...

put it back in and the boot up! that should do it

see if that helps

best regards,

Re: Verizon XV6900 No Signal

or try a *22899 again.... if that doesn't work, I'd call again for another akey.
