Re: Verizon XV6900 No Signal

Had same problem here, updated my XV6900, after getting an A-KEY from tech support everything works (GPS / RevA), except it takes a good 20-30 minutes to find signal after rebooting.

The tech suggested to replace the phone, but I am hoping there is some other fix for it?

Re: Verizon XV6900 No Signal

all i had to do was turn off my phone, take my battery out for a minute, put it back in, and the boot back up...problem solved.

So after soft-resetting your phone now, you find phone signal within seconds?

I did the same (putting battery in and out, entering a new AKEY...) and my phone works just fine. GPS locks within less then a minute even inside my office. RevA works (or at least seems to, my internet speed more then doubled). Voice works just fine too, so does everything else.

However after a soft-reset, it will take the XV a good 20 minutes to find phone signal....

Wow you are right. I did take the battery out twice last night, but didn't try again today (didn't want to go 20 minutes without signal). After reading your post I did attempt again -- and got a signal as soon as it booted up!!!

Thanks a lot for convincing me to try it again!
