Re: Phone freezes in standby mode after using Cokeman unlocker

Etrnlwanderer,

I've had the exact same issue... The problem was caused by the nuePerformance program. It's a program that "overclocks" the processor to 500+MHz when needed. Once I removed the program from my ROM the problem went away.

I know you said no programs were installed but maybe it came with the ROM. So I'd check to see if you have this program installed...

Thank you for the suggestion Yaco, no such program runs on my phone. I checked the entire OS for the program you mentioned and it wasn't there. So I presume my problem isn't due to that.

the unlocker allows you to flash custom roms. you should still be able to flash the leaked rom. I believe if you go to the 0.40 unlocker, then flash the leaked rom, your SPL will be upgraded, and re-locked......but I'm not 100% sure.

If you plan on flashing the leaked rom, dont bother w/ 0.40, just flash the leaked rom & be done.
I updated my phone from the 2.13 radio version to the leaked rom with radio version 3.37 and the problem has disappeared!!

A few other problems popped up instead though...
  1. On boot up, the HTC splash screen displays the message " Test Only, Not For Sale" (Is there some way to get rid of that message??)
  2. I am using this phone on a network outside USA, and I get the "Roaming" triangle appearing on top of the display screen. The phone works perfectly though, and no roaming charges are deducted or anything of that sort. Is there some way to get rid of that "pesky" triangle??
Thank you so very much O1d_Man_Jenkins!!! You are a real life saver!!

PS: Registering my thanks to you in this thread itself.
