I actually ended up repairing the problem but I didn't get it fixed until like 15 mins ago. I actually decided on AstroGPSLauncher.

I have it configured so that it runs invisible and you just click the "TomTom" icon in the programs menu and it will open TomTom and GPS is already primed.

Good stuff.

GPS seems to use battery life very quickly, is there a way to shut it off once you are done using it? Is soft rest the only way?

So did you fry your CDMA radio or no?

No I did not fry the CDMA radio. I thought I had because not one custom ROM would allow me to access the internet or even get a half decent signal but I flashed to Sprint 3.02 ROM and now I'm good. Everything's configured and works great now.
