Guys i dont know what is going on with my phone but i am NOT haveing the "standby" problem...
I left my GPS on during the school day and as soon at i took the phone off standby i opened up GPSviewer(i had it on since the morning testing out my new rom) and i got i had 5 locks already... i wasnt believing this but as soon as i turned on Google Maps...i was pinpointed to my exact location... I dont know what i did or if this is the same problem everyone is having but as far as i know.... My gps works while on stand by Opps...well nevermind just lost it after 10 minutes in standby...very weird Last edited by corpashe; 05-02-2008 at 05:52 PM. |

I sometimes get that issue where GPS viewer will have 5 or 6 sats stacked at North. Usually this is in a building with poor GPS reception. If I go outside, let it lock and go inside it works fine. It doesn't worry me though since I'll almost always be outside if using gps.

you can find gpsviewer on the site somewhere. search is your friend.
the standby problem is still an issue... though it is fixed by not letting your phone go into standby when your using gps. make sure you shut down any running gps programs before it goes into standby... When i'm using GPS 9/10 its on a car charger, gps sucks your battery anyway, the only other time is to find something quick with live search, just make sure to shut it off before the phone goes into standby. |
