Re: 3.37 radio vs 3.35 radio

Sorry...Its actually the amount of "noise" on the channel. The lower the number the better your phone can see the cell its connected tI did this in the exact same spot about 5 min apart from each other... With the 3.37 radio I was getting between 8-14 Ec/Io With the 3.35 radio i was getting like 19-24 which is much worse. "Ec/Io (pronounced "ee-see over eye-not") is basically a measure of how well your phone can hear the tower over all the other traffic on the channel. (Don't forget, you are sharing the 1.25 MHz channel with many other users). A reading near 0.0 is very good. You can find low readings late at night on weekdays when traffic is low. When the reading is high (-12.0 to -15.0), quality will drop and you may even lose the call." http://fieldtest.necellularsites.net/lg.htm (full article) Last edited by hotbyz168; 05-05-2008 at 10:28 PM. |

Re: 3.37 radio vs 3.35 radio
Yea same here, some of the mogul users are using the 3.37 radio as well...It seems like alltel had the same radio for both devices in their new upgrade.

The 3.35 scares me. I think when the call use to drop on other radios on the 3.35 i either can't hear the person or they can't here me briefly but the call would stay. .but the phone would start getting warm. The worst the reception the more it seems to try to keep the connection it seems and the hotter it gets. It gets *really* warm sometimes.... and its only during times when i can't hear them or they can't hear me. |
