3.37 radio vs 3.35 radio

OK I have tried all the new roms and I am using the 3.35 radio that is supposed to be the better of the 2. I still cannot get a gps lock.

Which radio seems to be working better. Which radio seems to have more success????

EDITED: Check out this thread over at XDA. This is working with both radios. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=364199

I just flashed to 3.35 from 3.37 and so far 3.35 seems to lock a bit faster than 3.37. None of the radio could lock my position in the building where I work though. :(

I haven't tried 3.37 yet and was wondering which one was giving people better luck...

The real answer is for Sprint to release an update....

I have been reading around for the answer to this question too, some say they get more satellites with the Titan 3.35 radio and some say it locks faster. Most eventually say that they have to reboot to get it to work after the first day. So i can't really seem to find any concrete evidence that the 3.35 radio performs any differently from the 3.37.

The reason I say this is because I personally have been using JD's Gps Test Rom since the day it came out and I still have the same performance. Occasionally the GPS will not lock but going into airplane mode, then back seems to result in the GPS going back to normal (less than 30 lock with 4 - 8 sats).

Ah well, hopefully Sprint's release will kill the GPS issues because I know the chef's here will take care of getting us the best OS portion of the ROM.

I'm on vzw and I can't get a lock. GPS Viewer detects like 20 satellites but I never get a position. I've tried both 37 and 35 radios and neither make a difference.

Does anyone know how the heck GPS viewer can detect sats but you get no lock?? This never really made any sense to me, is it going off of cached data? Meaning - it thinks the sats are where they are, but doesn't know for sure, hence no lock?

Just curious.

does gpsviewer open on com4? Googlemaps tells me it can't even find a receiver, and with gpsviewer, it opens on com7 but never finds any satellites. I'm using 3.37 on vzw.

The problem is that your phone is able to see the sats, and it needs a minimum of three to triangulate your position. Unfortunately it can not calculate your position so it keeps trying with all the different sats it has in view till it can.
