guess i'll have to stick with Garmin XT since I only have a 512mb and 1gig card. I'm to cheap to waste $30 on a memory card when that money can go towards gas.

Re: Best GPS Apps

I dont know about that Nav4all program. I just downloaded it, went through the startup configuration, got the languages and audio downloaded and updated, but when it came to the email entry screen, it would not respond to any key presses, in other words I could not enter an email addy...so the program wont finish the set up and will not run...there's 30 minutes of my life I wont get back.

It is by far the "BEST!!!" GPS program out there. Even compared to a BMW 550 which I drive, the navigation on my phone (TELENAV) blows BMW's navigation AWAY!!
Simply put, there is not one program better than Telenav. NOTHING!! Not even non cellphone versions beat it.
what happens when you loose signal? sprint signal?

Bonabob,
I'm sure it rocks!
However, it costs $10/month. Ouch!
Are you paying for that?
I mean, I don't need the nav stuff that often, and the TomTom software I got from Pirate Bay doesn't charge monthly.
If you know how I can use it without the monthly charge, I'll be like the 'rat and the bar' on your 'Thanks' button!

I tried the Nav4all program and it was quirky to use and the voice sounded extremely garbled. I found it almost unusable.

Re: Best GPS Apps

I tried TomTom and liked it. Amaze sucks, at least I thought it wasn't that good so I went back to Tomtom. Now I'm testing out Garmin XT. Haven't been able to try it much as I seem to be having problems with the GPS not responding. I didn't really have much problems with Tomtom, but I was using astrolauncher to prime it. One thing I have noticed with Garmin though is that it changes the date on your phone. I don't like that much and if it continues I'll just get rid of it and stick with Tomtom, which works.

Re: Best GPS Apps

change keyboard input to keyboard instead of touch keyboard prior to launching nav 4all and you will be able to enter email address.

Heh thats a good question. I just had a friend who called me who just left for vacation. He said he used VZNavigator all the way to the beach, but lost signal and got lost for a bit...

having said that, i dont trust tomtom's routing. I think iGuidance or Garmin XT is better
