I'm using the .50 version, which I think is the latest.

Regarding text to voice... So far as I can tell, Iguidance is the only one that announces street names... but are there any other software choices out there that are not data intensive that have plans to add the text to voice? ( I can't imagine other companies not implementing it soon, but I don't have any knowledge of anyone announcing an update...)... ie.. would tomtom v7 or the next garmin update include text to voice?
CoPilot by ALK told me they were going to release an update to add TTS, other than that I haven't heard anything else.

Re: Best GPS Apps

Does anyone know of a GPS application that is more geared towards outdoors type stuff then driving. I would like to use my phone when I am riding my mountain bike. I knoe some of the dedicated GPS units allow you to capture the route you did along with elevation and speed changes giving you graphs that you can overlay on google maps for example. Is there anything like this for WM?

I'd love to do this as well... but when I tried with a real GPS i had nothing but problems with keeping satellites when in the woods.

Tom tom works great for me. what I was saying is that when you use telnav and loose signal you lose navigation

Smooth? You bet! It seems like there is a video driver installed when you run this app. Your position is smoothly updated on the road and not constantly "jerking" up when your driving like in TomTom. I quit in TomTom so long ago...

It does have all US maps...

PS. Check your message box on were to get iGo8 and US and Euro maps since I cant say here...

Re: Best GPS Apps

I use iGO 8. I think its great. The problem with it is that I'm running a rom that I cooked based on the new 'leaked' rom and the time always resets to Prague when I exit iGO. I have to set the time back to my zone every single time I use the program..
