Re: For Some Reason Im In Africa? GPS Problem
i reverted back to the stock sprint rom. I actually like the sprint rom better than the alltel rom, and that's mainly speaking from a content of rom point of view. The REV A does definetly make a difference in loading pages, but as for GPS, I really don't want to be in the ocean by Africa anymore, I much rather be on land, I hear there are sharks there. lol...
For now Ill use my bluetooth reciever, which is much faster at picking up signal.

Re: For Some Reason Im In Africa? GPS Problem
Have you given the mogul one a try. I jumped ship and have not vacationed on the ivory coast since. Just a thought. I like that rom. at first I was scared as hell from it, all weird and such, but I actually like it much better. If it had the HTC home customizer (can add via a cab) I might actually keep it even when other roms hit the shelf.

Re: For Some Reason Im In Africa? GPS Problem
despite conspiracy theory on the gps drivers on the Touch this is completely normal. Go over to the Mogul forum who have the "official" gps update. they are experiencing the same Africa thing and long gps start times. this is just the nature of the gps being in the chipset.
