From wikipedia:

Android is a mobile operating system running on the Linux kernel. It was initially developed by Google and later the Open Handset Alliance.[2] It allows developers to write managed code in the Java language, controlling the device via Google-developed Java libraries.

In other words it is an open soruce UI.

On a separate note, I think I found a way for my voice mail to work. I down loanded youmail onto my phone and had sprint set up my call forwarding to the number provided by youmail. it works but it cost $0.25 a min for call forwarding

Guess I have to do a soft reset every time I want to check my voice mail..... blah!

Anyone find a good podcast app? I tried a few and none seem to be able to play without stopping when switching apps. This is terrible so hoping someone knows of one.

Also, I cant believe there is no app for .rar files. I went to download a file from rapidshare in .rar and it says can't download, unsupported format! This is bad to not even allow the download.

most of it applies to us, except for the bluetooth, and video stuff haha
