From wikipedia:
Android is a
mobile operating system running on the
Linux kernel. It was initially developed by
Google and later the
Open Handset Alliance.
[2] It allows developers to write
managed code in the
Java language, controlling the device via Google-developed Java libraries.
In other words it is an open soruce UI.
On a separate note, I think I found a way for my voice mail to work. I down loanded youmail onto my phone and had sprint set up my call forwarding to the number provided by youmail. it works but it cost $0.25 a min for call forwarding
Guess I have to do a soft reset every time I want to check my voice mail..... blah!
