Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!
bugzy - since there is no keyboard, martin had to get creative in his use of hardware buttons. im guessing you are new to this and dont know what the buttons do.

Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!
Had the same problem with landscape mode til I made a phone call. For some reason that changed it to portrait.

Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!
As soon as you use the keyboard once it is back to portrait for good. So just open and close the keyboard and you're good to go.

Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!
So where is all the google stuff like push gmail, gtalk etc that I saw in the G1 previews... is that not part of the basic android open source? I'm looking forward to programs like locale running on my touch!

Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!
Wow I tried Android and i LOVE IT. I can't see myself ever wanting to go back to WM6 after this is stable. I just wish i knew how to code so that I could help the community get this working 100%.
Keep up the good work everyone! |

Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!
Ive checked a couple of pages, and dont really see anyone talking about this, so here it goes: Is there a reason it wont boot on my phone? I keep geeting I/O errors and the numbers on the left side and right side of the screen increases until it gets to like 72, then it just sits there. After I sit there for a while (like 10 minutes) I reset the phone. If I run HARET again, I get the same error, but a lot sooner...like at 4.288481 and on, it says init: cannot find system/bin/sh disabling console, then servicemanager, mountd, debuggerd, rild, app_process, mediaserver, dbus-daemon, installd (all of these have the same error...init:cannot find system/bin/"name of service" disabling "name of service"). Then it will say 18.###### SND ch 3 closed -> open, and ch 2 closed -> open...then it just sits there. I do notice that after run the first time, data and system extensions have changed to img, as they have been extracted, but when running HARET the first time and with system.gz, data.gz, I still get the errors, just takes longer (as I said around 72.######)
