rev a and gps update maybe?

i had a phone with gps built in, a blackberry 8130. I found the device could get a signal maybe a third of the time and lost it easily. I have a gps puck and had to go back to using it, i also use it now for my Touch. It's no big deal for me to use the puck - even though it does die my gps use down a little. Point is, built in gps isn't that awesome.

I'm on Alltel btw, but I really don't believe there is a push or movement for any updates to these phones. That's the downside of not having a BB. BB was always making them better. I still ike the Touch. It does far more than a BB though I can see that it is far away from being perfect. I've done a lot of research on these devices in general and so far no one has produced the perfect device. Even the flaunted iphone was found seriously lacking after its actual release. Not sure why no one wants to spend the money to make the perfect "notebook pc the size of a candy bar - with phone" but it will happen one day. Until then, use your phone for what you need and don't make such a big deal about needing more. The minute they do release Rev A someone will make a post asking for a Rev. B so the phone can do cartwheels or something else. Don't worry, be happy man

I just switched from T-Mobile to Sprint...so for me going from EDGE speed to EVO.....I'm a happy camper for now. Would like the GPS butI also have a BT GPS puck that works well.

But...My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this guy who's going with this girl who said the GPS & Rev A update will be out by Christmas.

Who else is out there besides HTC for good WM phones? It looks like we Touch users will go thru the same b.S. the Mogul users went thru to get their fully operational. This suks big time. Everyone hear about the new iphone being released based on 3G? That looks good but I wish we could port over Wm on it. Mac software is limited.

I don't think you can compare mogul issues vs touch issues.

The mogul when released was a joke. The touch has been very stable since it was released.

Waiting for new features is another story.

Yeah I've learned that you have to buy a phone for what it is at the time of purchase, waiting for promised upgrades and features is iffy at best.

So, please be specific - what big problems are you having on your Touch? Just curious because I have both a Mogul and Touch, and have NONE of the significant Mogul issues on my Touch (no problems with BT audio, roaming freezes, low memory).

My Touch has been fully operational since day 1. GPS will be nice when it comes, but since it was never advertised as available on day 1, it's certainly not a deficiency today.

Like I have said before and I will say it again..

RELAX.. Gps and Rev A will be available for the touch around June/July... Until It gets closer to that date I cant get an Exact date... It WILLinclude Wm6.1 at that time as well...

Stop getting your panties tied in a wad guys... Give it a little bit of time.. The phones been released for what 4-5 months. We are lucky we are getting it.
