Employee with BB: Actually this is incorrect. You would have a $15 service charge for the BB unless you are required to carry one. BB charges Sprint for use on their servers so even employees must pay a little extra. Or at least they made some of my coworkers.

No lockups here either.
I did have to return two phones for hardware issues though.
Now it is really fast and no glitches. (mrGeoff's v4 ROM)

I just couldn't deal with the size of the Mogul... ugh.
And I'm a stylus guy anyway...

Re: well, i might be givin up de ol touch

I no longer have freezing issue's now that I think about it I never soft reset.
I honestly think people here just download everything they see, I am picky about what I put on and if I don't like it, it gets removed.

I'm also mad about the update /gps, but I also didn't let it bother me and bought a BRAND NEW holux 1200 for like 40 bucks from ebay, it goes on my keychain and it works GREAT.

Also, I don't know why everyone complains about the keyboard issue. I use SPB full screen and again, I will bet anyone I can type faster on it than any phone with or without a hard keyboard

Re: well, i might be givin up de ol touch

I believe it's just probably a program you have installed to your touch that's making it act crazy. As they said above....you can't just download whatever you want before making sure it has no bugs. Maybe you should hard reset, start over and find the program that's causing it to freeze all the time. IMHO

I was ready to switch back to the mogul this week until I flashed to No2Chem's ROM.... The phone is a ton more stable and faster. It's insane that you guys can set up this operating system so much better than the manufacturer.

Its not insane. I think the manufactures PURPOSELY cripple & dont incorporate all the features that the hardware & software is capable of. Im just waiting on the update then I will flash when someone makes a 6.1 ROM that includes RevA & GPS. The Touch will be perfect after that.

No lockups using a custom 6.1 ROM here. If you know what you're doing, WM can be very stable.

Re: well, i might be givin up de ol touch

For what it's worth, I couldn't go back to a device with less RAM then the Touch has. I've got sooo many more programs on this device then my last PPC. I agree that WiFi would be nice but I'm good with EVDO Rev 0 for now. My Touch is also very stable, hardly ever reset or anything. One bad thing is the bluetooth which is total marginally working garbage but the Mogul may be the same.

Re: well, i might be givin up de ol touch

I'm thinking about going back to the mogul. I have had 2 touch's get dark spots on the screen and its not cool. I also experienced (for the first time today), the phone erasing or not displaying the contents of my SD card.
