For those of you who are fine with your phones - I'd bet if you had children you were probably ok with your toys being filled with lead paint. The fact is that manufacturers cut corners to make profits all the time. The difference is - what do they do about it when they get caught with their hand in the cookie jar? The chinese took back all the toys and made a public apology. It is not part of their culture to do this - they are used to making inferior products and the world has been used to taking it on the chin. When they took back the toys with lead paint it was because of the amount of attention it received - even though the amount of lead paint probably wouldn't have hurt anyone. This was a step in the right direction. Why would we want to go backwards? Backwards in technology - backwards in compatability - backwards in responsibility. Holding people accountable is what makes this a just society. Personally - the responsibility should rest on the shoulders of all parties involved - Microsoft - Sprint - and of course HTC. They all should be trying to find resolution to this problem because we are all customers of their products. Ultimately it rests on HTC - but if I were Microsoft or Sprint - I would also be looking into this to find resolution because it would show us that the word "customer service" means something and might show other cultures the right way to handle situations. My 2 cents!

Your statement about the qwerty keyboard is asinine as the phone would not be provided as advertised and would not meet the basic needs of the user. In all likelyhood you were bragging to your friends about how cool your new phone was just a short time ago before all of this came to light. I am certainly not a HTC shill and i have my own issues as I am on my 5th Mogul due to crappy screens. I would much rather them fix that issue to tell you the truth. Everyone would like this: With its 1GHZ processor tons of RAM, beautiful Screen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, TV Tuner etc... I am just saying that grabbing your pitch forks and getting all pissed off about something you didnt even know existed not too long ago is a waste of your engergy. Sure let HTC know what you would like. And if you dont like HTC, dont buy from them its pretty simple. Last edited by eehrhard; 01-25-2008 at 11:28 AM. |

When this driver being missing from your phone causes you to get a brain tumor and someone defends that then you can come back with silly statements like that. They are just phones people. And damn good ones IMO. You are consumers you have a choice. Go buy an Iphone and enjoy your EDGE data. |

Those of us who DO stand up and bitch when we've been wronged get completely shutdown due the overwhelming amount of idiots who just take a who cares attitude. I really don't care if YOU don't care about the problem - that's not the scope of any of the threads that have been made on the board - the scope of these threads is that there IS an issue with these devices and it needs to be fixed. Those of you that care to run on and on about how they think this whole endeavor is stupid, etc., go make your own thread and stop ruining the threads that are just meant to shed information on this whole thing please. There is some good information between this and my original thread and I'd hate to see them both locked (along with the wealth of information they contain being lost) because they keep running way off topic. The least you people could do is make a new thread. |

Actually - your ignorant! It wasn't a comparison rather a comment. You should know the difference - or maybe not? The point was that they made it right. Understanding the point makes you able to debate. You obviously need some help in this area. Slow down and understand. I actually love this phone. I also didn't pay to upgrade my phone only to find out it doesn't do what my 6600 did. Touchflo is nice but not that nice and you can put it on older devices so I don't think any of us is out of line when we simply want something to at least be the same as in older technology or hopefully better. Read - Understand - make intelligent comments! And yes - we are consumers - we made a choice to UPGRADE our devices. Get it? |
