Re: Vista Cube 2.0

Hi folks,

First off, thanks for this great application, and especially all the great work by polen. I installed the application over the weekend, and it works great on my Bell CDMA phone. I had to change a few of the paths, and thanks for the step by step on how to change and correct some of those paths.

I’ve been trying to figure out a few things that I’ve had some trouble with, and I haven’t been able to find the answer in this thread.

First, I’m trying to create a path for the You Tube links I have, from the Flash Video / TCPMP bundle. It’s the IE link that opens directly to that site with all the various Youtube and other video sites. How do I label the path to open the file? I tried \Program Files\TCPMP\sites\videosites.lnk but that doesn’t seem to work. When I go thru File explorer and click on that file it opens up the page though…am I doing something wrong in the labeling?

On the same note as the question above, using Spunks icons set, he’s got an icon for PPCGeeks, so how would I set up an the file to open up IE to PPC as well?

Second question, is there a way to change the Mail Link to open up my Yahoo Email which I’ve setup instead of the default Outlook? Tried a few different things, no luck yet.

I apologize if these have been answered before, I tried to search with no avail.

Cheers.

Re: Vista Cube 2.0

On the first question, set the Path to TCPMP's exe file, then param to the playlist's lnk file.

For IE favorites, set the Path to \Windows\iexplore.exe, then Param to www.whatever.com/whatever...you get the idea.

For email, set Path to \Windows\tmail.exe and Param to "-service "Name of Mailbox"" without the first set of quotation marks, and replacing "Name of Mailbox" with the actual name of your Yahoo mailbox as seen in your mail program.

Re: Vista Cube 2.0

Two Questions..
1.Is there a path to turn bluetooth on and off without going through comm manager? I would like to use a BT icon to do this instead of having to open comm mgr.

2nd. Instead of requesting other icons I need, can someone tell me how to make them for this cube including the press.brn? I would like to use the exact style to match these. Thanks!

Re: Vista Cube 2.0

Thank you very much the great response musicman, really appreciate it. Those answers worked perfectly for me. Love the cube v 2.0, such a nice little app.

Anyone taking requests on making any icons? I've got no artistic talent or patience, and I can't quite seem to match one of Spunks3 icons for GPS. I used the satellite one for a Comm Manager replacement...and I've seen some nice GPS icons for the older vista cube config.

I just purchased the Freedom Keychain GPS 2000 and I'm pairing it with Nav4all, would like a nice GPS icon if available

Re: Vista Cube 2.0

Thanks for the cube!

Is there away to have a new text message open instead of the inbox? I should just be a one click item instead of clicking sms the either replying or starting a new message.

Thanks ahead of time.

Did anyone ever respond to this post? I haven't been able to find an answer. I, as well, would like to do this, but also add where there is already a address in the "to" field. Is this possible using the Param field?

Thanks

Try this:

/Windows/tmail.exe -service "SMS" -to "1234567890" -new
