Anyone dumped the ROM yet or have a copy of the original ship ROM?

Additionally, does anyone know what differences exist between the Alltel ROM and the Sprint ROM?

Alltel ROM has no junk, and seems to run better.

I would love to see a dump of this rom. It would give me a nice build to try to make a custom rom

I bought an Altell Touch for my fiancee yesterday and I would love to help out but I don't know how to dump the rom. I have the Sprint Touch and Alltel seems to be a lot faster moving through programs. The Alltel Rom also comes with a newer version of picture mail already installed and a 4 sided cube. If anyone would like to walk me through dumping the rom I would be glad to.

I have walked many people through dumping roms from mogul/vogue. First you need to be able to get me a pdocread -l and then i can help you get the dump. You can find help in the IRC chat too. To get this you will need the itsme tools (pdocread) which you can find on xda-developers forum, and your device will need to run unsigned apps. To do the second one go to the titan section of the FTP and look for a col mogul reg entries cab file. Once you install that on your phone you can connect via activesync and run pdocread -l. At that point PM me the output or find me in chat. There are also other posts on xda and the titan forum that might have a little more info for you on the dump.

We have the rom dump now, you can get it in my dir on the FTP. I made them into an nbh to make it flashable, i haven't had a chance to test it though so someone with an unlocked vogue will need to tell me how well it works.

For the Altel Touch owners out there
can you guys tell me what radio version you are running?

To find out just go to Start - Setting - System Tab - Device Information

And You Should See Radio Version There!

& Also can you extract the radio, ImCokeMan can help you with that

the radio version is 2.26.00 I don't know how to extract.

There is no method for dumping a radio rom from a device, they are only extracted from the carrier exe files. Also, I'm not a big fan of "newer radio is better" syndrome. I think generally it's a placebo effect and it is much more dangerous to flash than the OS image. Now don't get me wrong there can be updates in a radio rom and if one has the "GPS" then i'm sure it will go over well and even i'd agree, but until then i think i'll hold off.
