Did this improve the quality of your voice calls or simply increase the volume?

badboy8813 12-16-2007 03:58 PM

it definitely makes it louder!!! earpiece and speaker phone sound louder!!!

mr.jcarter 12-16-2007 04:08 PM

Did you guys really have low volume problems with your touch? I have not altered my audiopara file but find myself lowering the speaker volume (both ear piece and speaker phone) during normal talking situations.

ppcolmy 12-16-2007 04:12 PM

Will this have affect on the volume being sent to a bluetooth headset? My speaker volume is very loud and I would love to use this file or hack it more to increase the bluebooth outout. Any ideas or tips?

mswlogo 12-16-2007 06:36 PM

See the link in the first post of this thread on what to do with it.

Basically copy it to \Windows directory on your device.

badboy8813 12-16-2007 07:04 PM

sad to say this didnt improve the vol on my bluetooth headset. i ll play around with it again later on tonight

lowpro3210 12-16-2007 07:08 PM

so I just copy this "AudioPara.csv_coarse_ear_extended_speaker_TOU CH" the attachment into \windows directory; and that's it? Drag the notepad and bam DONE??? lol

you have to use a program like total commander to rewrite the orginal AudioPara.csv file on your phone... its in the windows folder... rename the file on this thread to AudioPara.csv and replace it with the orginal one in your windows folder..total commander is the easiest program to do this with..
and ofcourse do a soft reset afterwards !

mindfrost82 12-17-2007 12:36 AM

What I did was put the downloaded file on my memory card on my Touch and rename it to AudioPara.csv.

Then I used Resco to cut/copy it from there into the Windows folder. It will prompt you to overwrite a file, then it prompted me that I was about to overwrite a file in ROM.

Then do a soft reset.

I posted one at SU about a month ago. I kept the first volume notch the same but boosted the top end. I also boosted the BT.

I remember reading this, but there was no mention that you were able to boost the BT volume also, and that it was successful. Here is the link.

I seem to remember it being only 1 notch higher as it was already nearly maxed out in the stock file. The earpiece values are a lot louder and I didn't mess with the speakerphone because it distorts badly and was already loud enough for me from the factory.

I started the original thread referenced on pdaphonehome.com for audiopara.csv. I spent many hours trying to get bluetooth headset volume up and could not. Tried on Mogul and Touch. But give it go, maybe I missed something.

By the way to confirm I had any control over bluetooth I set all volumes to ZERO and it had no effect on bluetooth.

adrian2pm 12-18-2007 10:16 AM

im trying to install this in my touch but i dont see AudioPara.csv in my windows folder so when i copied the files on this first post it didnt ask me to overwrite.

ycats 12-18-2007 10:17 AM

same here so how do I know if this file works or not?

What file explorer are you using because it's a "hidden file" and you need to use something like resco file explorer or set yours to see system files, that's weird it didn't ask to overwrite, it should be there.

tpdtopcop 12-18-2007 11:13 AM

I have the same problem. I have mine set to see all files and I cannot find the AudioPara.csv in the windows directory, and it doesnt say to replace file when I copy it over. Anyone know what the problem might be?

yeahhh i don't really think we can control that..oh well as long as the ear piece vol. is a lot better i'm okay with that until the next best thing comes out..

easiest way to do this is to use total commander and make sure the file is spelled correctly and ends with. csv

tpdtopcop 12-18-2007 11:51 AM

Never mind figured it out using rescoe explorer

how did you do it. i have resco explorer too and thats what i used to transfer the file. but didnt asked to overwrite it.

stylz3 12-18-2007 04:26 PM

how do you install this on your device

ycats 12-18-2007 04:28 PM

just like the instructions say

MannyPR 12-18-2007 10:38 PM

I tried with Resco and Total Commander and wasn't successful with either. With Resco it doesn't ask to overwrite and doesn't change anything and with Total Commander says that the file can't be overwritten. After trying to install it PDA froze and had to restart.

Your post is quite vague not the help I was looking for, but I eventually figured it out. If any one else has problem on getting this to work on your touch just refer to post #16 & #17

Badboy8813 - this u notice any increase in the speaker volume. our touch has some nice speakers volume but the more without distortion the better. my friends have nextel with some super high volume that makes my touch sound so low.
