rbinkley 12-23-2007 11:07 PM

I downloaded the file to my storage card. Then I used Total Commander to rename the file "AudioPara.csv" and moved it, using TC to the \Windows directory. It did NOT tell me I was overwriting anything. What am I missing?

lembowski 12-23-2007 11:29 PM

I can't get it to change to a csv file. I put the .csv on the end, but it keeps coming up as a txt file. What am I doing wrong?

use total commander on your phone to rename it..

divxrippimp 12-24-2007 05:24 AM

Or just rename it on your pc, and use active sync to explore the phone and put the file in the windows folder, tell it to overwrite and your set...

rbinkley 12-26-2007 07:21 AM

Yeah I used TC and renamed it, then moved it to the windows directory and it didn't ask me to overwrite. I have a 6700, did I mention that? Does that matter?

It matters. You can't use a file from another phone.

veroi 12-26-2007 01:42 PM

I just get that this is a READ ONLY file and I do not have permission to replace it.

Don't know but they're easy to make. Just follow the directions in the thread.

tom_brady 01-06-2008 02:49 AM

isn't .csv an excel file? what i did was open the file and renamed it as audiopara.csv and it saved as a txt file. will this still work? also, how do i set my touch to see system files?

nsievers 01-08-2008 01:05 AM

worked perfectly thanks so much! I have been looking for this. =D>

The only thing I do notice is there is not much of a range now. It goes from high to maybe medium. But I can deal with that, no need to go whisper quiet anyway.

By the way I used resco to overwrite mine.

I don't think this scheme existed on the 6700 with WM5 any way (but it may exist in a different form). Not sure about WM6 on 6700's though.

Touch csv, Does this have the BT changes too?

i simply edited the coarse file that was already posted to be more compatible with the touch and it worked..

use it at your own risk!!!!!

Do you know if the Blue Tooth changes are in this as well?

tom_brady 01-08-2008 07:00 PM

i tried movingit but it gave me this error

cannot move 'audiopara': access is denied. be certain that there is enough free storage memory, that the destinatino is not write-protected and that the fileis not currently in use.

any ideas??

I got that when I tried copying over it via ActiveSync. Had to access the file properties with Resco Explorer and uncheck read-only, system and hidden. Then copied and pasted in the file, which gave me the overwrite popup.

As others have said, total commander would work too. Unfortunately the regular file explorer lets you see hidden files but not edit their properties. Not sure if ActiveSync dialog will.

I wrote the orginal files on PdaPhoneHome and tried to adjust Bluetooth on mogul and tried to as well on the touch with no luck.

Brock1909 01-09-2008 04:03 AM

maybe i did this wrong, but i notice no difference at all :(

badchad 01-09-2008 08:45 AM

I didn't notice much of a difference either. I still find it difficult to hear the earpiece on my touch in any type of background noise. Certainly my only complaint about the device.

did you notice any difference in your ear piece and speaker volume? i notice it is a bit louder, but kind of distorted.

That's exactly what I found on the touch and why I never bothered releasing it for the touch. It is definitely different and it is louder but not any easier to understand because it distorts to much. But some folks may find it useful (especially if using it in a real noisy area). This is why on the original mogul one I gave a choice of "fine" or "coarse". Fine let's you choose exactly the trade-off of loudness vs distortion. Where as coarse maintained a wide volume range; you could not have both.

Fierofiend 01-09-2008 06:42 PM

my speaker volume was very low with this file. I thought it stopped working altogether until i listed very closely. Not sure what may have gone wrong. I replaced the csv with the orig file and the speaker came back to life. EDIT, nvm. I didn't use the file on this page, I used the one from the pdaphonehome. The TOUCH version posted here is correct.

trehouse 01-19-2008 02:16 PM

This is an amazing hack for the speakerphone however for me it almost totally eliminates the MS Voice Command speaker announcement on my Vogue. The bluetooth announcement was untouched.

Anyone been able to make both items work?

armus 01-19-2008 02:51 PM

loaded total commander and see the file but it seems to be stuck in the rom. I can't rename/move or anything. Is there some unlocker I need to do first or what?

armus 01-19-2008 02:59 PM

nm once i copied the file the rom version went away. works about 30 percent move volume

No mine is definitly louder. On both the earpiece and the speaker. Infact I have to turn it down to the last notch or 2nd to last notch. Same goes for my ring volume, which is really loud. I could always swap it out with an mp3 which would probably bring it down.

As for distortion, the earpiece I don't get anything noticeable. The speaker I do get some when I turn the volume all the way up, it just too loud. But that could also be the ringer. Which again would probably be better with an mp3. So other than now keeping my volume on lower settings, this works great. Rather have it loud than not hearing someone.

I do agree with the Voice command being way low. Could use a fix for that and I would like to increase my bluetooth volume too.

aryehz2 02-08-2008 02:29 AM

Anyone notice if the vibrate volume is any louder with this? I'm really looking for a way to get that.

Thanks!

divxrippimp 02-08-2008 02:35 AM

I dunno what Vibrate Volume is, im assuming you mean Vibrate Strength...
And, no it doesnt effect the vibrate in any way...

Yeah. that's what I meant. I wish there were a way of doing that. (short of putting it right next to my ear. Probably wouldn't wake me anyway :)

nini1 02-11-2008 05:24 AM

1 Attachment(s)
I'm not saying it will work but when i used the attached program (scenario.exe) which switch the phone between different profile like outdoor, meeting etc and from the setting pushed the slider all the way to the end, my ringer volume went so hight that i had to bring it down back one notch.

Again, no guarantee it does or not increase the ringer volume but in my case it seems it did.

nsievers 02-11-2008 02:19 PM

Did anybody have poor Bluetooth quality after using this?

This file worked perfect for increasing the level of both the speaker and the headset speaker, but I am beginning to think my bluetooth quality is pretty crappy. Think I might roll back to the previous version to see if it makes a difference.

badboy8813 02-11-2008 02:45 PM

yeah i agree bluetooth volume is not improved and in some instances sound lower than the stock... i will give it another try tonight..can someone pls post the STOCK TOUCH para.csv file...?? thanx

berry_lthird 02-11-2008 08:59 PM

Damn, my speakerphone is now loud as hell!

bonabob 02-14-2008 02:28 PM

bonabob 02-14-2008 02:31 PM

Re: WORKING Audiopara file for TOUCH!!!

is there a file for the sprint mogul 6800 to make the volume of the phone louder?

deegimus 03-06-2008 09:26 PM

Updated Link to Latest AudioPara File

I just uploaded my latest audiopara.csv file to the ftp site.

ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Vogue/Users/AudioPara.zip

Very very low to very loud. Speakerphone range is much louder. BT louder.

If you like it, let me know. Enjoy!

DJ
