Sure, what I did was this using Resco File Explorer. 1) Go to /Windows directory and rename audiopara.csv to audiopara.csv BK or anything you want so you can find it later if you need to go back to it. 2) Download the audiopara.csv file to your PC. Sync your Touch and copy this file to your storage card. 3) Using Resco File Explorer go to the file on your storage card and right click and hit copy and then it will ask you where, simply copy to /Windows. This worked for me a zillion times without a hitch when playing with this file. I'm guessing Total Commander will work the same. I didn't have any complications but I can perhaps work you through them if something comes up. |
Re: WORKING Audiopara file for TOUCH!!!
This is strange I'm attempting to install t Audiopara in my Touch Version 2.13 but when I go to the windows directory using Total Commander I notice I have the Audiopara.csv file which I know I replace but right below it is another file named AudioPara0330.sa.CAB. Anyone recognize this file? I don't remember seeing this file on my original Touch. I've been unsuccessfull installing the Audiopara.csv file in the windows directory and I'm wondering if this unknown file has something to do with it. I also noticed both files have the same date of 09/15/07. Anyone?

Re: WORKING Audiopara file for TOUCH!!!
for me it's a ROM file and can't be replaced.. i'm using the dump version of hutch and AudioPara0330.sa.CAB came with the stock rom before i flashed to hutch's ;)

Re: WORKING Audiopara file for TOUCH!!!
Does this do anything for audio out through headphones/wired headset? I'd really like to increase the volume for audio out and this sounds like it might work. Anyone verify?

ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Vogue/Users/AudioPara.zip You must use Dutty's File Explorer or Total Commander to first 'show hidden files' then click on properties of the existing audiopara.csv file (in the /windows dir) and uncheck read only. Then using Dutty's or Total, copy my file to the /windows directory. Then reboot. Let me know if you like it. DJ This file stretches the range of the normal earcuple speaker (very low on the low end and very high on the high end) and also boosts the speakerphone volume. Bluetooth has been boosted also. |

I'll be checking this out, later tomorrow. My Touch is set to arrive by 4:00 PM and the Mogul goes back; one of the reasons being Bluetooth Announcement is terrible, even after I tried several of the AudioPara files for the Mogul. |

a) how the audio sounds when the voice is announcing an item b) how the audio sounds when talking with somebody I have my setup to announce calls, meetings, messages, etc. So, everytime I get an email, Voice Command fires up and sends an announcement out via my bluetooth ear-bud ... in the ear-bud I hear something like: Message From Paul of Tarsus Subject You are saved by Faith aloneOf course, this is an example, as the content of the announcement is relative to the email I have received. Similarly, when I get a call, Voice Command fires up and sends an announcement out via my bluetooth ear-bud ... and I hear: Call from Home (if the phone number matches the phone number for my contact named home)Well, with my Smartphone (T-Mobile Dash), these announcements are crystal clear and when I take the call, I can hear the caller very clearly. Unfortunately, when using the Mogul, the announcements I have described are barely audible. I tried any number of AudioPara files and the actual voice of the caller would be dramatically improved, but never the actuall call announcement. (meeting and message announcements remained barely audible as well) I'm moving away from the Mogul for other reasons, but I have read that other Mogul users who switched to the Touch also found announcement volume on the Touch to be improved, as well. Apologies for the lenght; I wanted to be thorough. Best regards, -boggsie |

Re: WORKING Audiopara file for TOUCH!!!
I know I've already posted this but no one seems to have seen/responded. Does or can this help to increase wired headphone/headset volume?
|
Re: WORKING Audiopara file for TOUCH!!!
To start off simple, I went with jakdillard's WM 6.1 based on the stock sprint Touch rom, with Voice Command 1.6 added.
Stock, voice quality and volume was great - announcements were nonexistant; nothing! I tried badboy8813 and email (message) announcements could now barely be heard, and incoming call announcement were a little better than message. Next up, the file from deegimus ... seemed similar to badboy8813 but message announcements may have been a bit louder. A significant issue is that when I tap my bluetooth headset a single time, I should get an audible prompt <da-dah> to which I respond with my command CALL Obi-Wan Kenobi and Voice Command responds with a confirmation, in the form of a question and I confirm. None of this is happening ... |
Re: WORKING Audiopara file for TOUCH!!!
Is there anyone in the NYC area that can do this for me? I am not technical at all. Thanks.

Re: WORKING Audiopara file for TOUCH!!!
To My Knowledge, If You Replace A Rom File Like The Audiopara You Can Simply Go Back And Delete It. Then Your Original Audiopara Will Reappear On Its Own.
Its A Rom File It Will Not Or Cannot Be Deleted. You Simply Are Masking The Original File. :) It Works, Trust Me. I Have Done It A Few Times With My Own Touch And My Brother's Previous Mogul. |
Re: WORKING Audiopara file for TOUCH!!!
Maybe it's me, but putting the new audiopara.csv file made my phone completely unresponsive on boot (after bootup screen) and I had to finally just hard reset my device, thank god for sprite backup (in this case)

Re: WORKING Audiopara file for TOUCH!!!
I appreciate all of the effor by so many folks.
In-call volume (via bluetooth) is significantly higher; a good thing. Unfortunately, all announcements (via bluetooth) remain barely audible. In all honesty, I have tried at least ten different AudioPara.csv files from four differnet messageboards and none of them have had any perceptable impact on the volume of announcements. I wish there was some type of guide or specification to identify what the rows and columns of data in the AudioPara.csv file could be used to adjust. I wonder if exporting the various registry entries would offer any clues. |
Re: WORKING Audiopara file for TOUCH!!!
Just tried this on my Touch using Total Commander and I can notice a significant change in call volume. I really dont think the Touch needed that much boosting to begin with, except for ringtone volume but I have definitely noticed a change. Even lowered to half volume now is still plenty loud. I have yet to test the ringtone or speaker phone volume yet.

can't find an audiopara.csv file in my windows folder!!!
anyone an idea?! is it an hidden file? i've only tried it via active sync |
Re: WORKING Audiopara file for TOUCH!!!
If you are using Total Commander you should see it, if I recall do a soft reset and it should show up then. If not don't sweat, it just drop in one of many floating around the forums and it should work but beware that IMO are just way too loud.

Re: WORKING Audiopara file for TOUCH!!!
i'm already using the tc...still can't find it...

I tried to copy and paste the original on my Touch and when I save it in a file on the laptop, I can not see it. When I try to paste the new file on the touch, it says I do not have permission. Need help please. |
Re: WORKING Audiopara file for TOUCH!!!
I have just learned that the AudioPara file is a rom file. How can all of you modify this file if it is in rom?
|
Re: WORKING Audiopara file for TOUCH!!!
Finally realized how to do this. I works! Was wondering about the other file for BT and MS voice command. Does it go in the same folder replacing the file I just put there, or does it go into the MSVC folder?

Re: WORKING Audiopara file for TOUCH!!!
Thanks dude for making this work on the touch. I have the verizon touch and when I'm in my car it's hard to hear. It is a lot louder now. But I can't seem to control the volume. The slider doesn't make it any softer. How can I turn down the volume?

Re: WORKING Audiopara file for TOUCH!!!
any way of making the in speaker louder at a gradual basis.
I find only the loudest setting is very loud, rest sound normal and its like a huge jump from the 2nd last setting to the last setting. Or if someone can explain to me what settings to play with I can probably do it my self |
Re: WORKING Audiopara file for TOUCH!!!
I have a couple of questions.
I use MS Voice Command, do I need to use both files loaded in my windows directory? I am also trying to find audiopara.csv file on my HTC Touch, I cannot find it and my explorer on activesync is not working, how can I find file and backup my old audiopara.csv in case I have issues? Dave |
Re: WORKING Audiopara file for TOUCH!!!
I have the touch and that file is in your windows directory. You might have to mess with a setting to be able to open your windows directory. I can't remember if it was locked or not. So to recap, hit Start, file explorer, my device, windows and it should open windows folder for you.
But I would dl total commander as your file explorer. It's much more intuitive and easier to work with. |
Re: WORKING Audiopara file for TOUCH!!!
has anybody found a way to improve 'voice quality' of the phone calls,
i've been told by the people i talk to, that it sounds a 'little tinny' on the other end, is there a file or setting, to add depth or bass, something to improve the mic, or the audio processing before it is transmitted ? |
