Unless you like the apps found in the "4SidesforTrueLight" cab, then yes.

4SidesforTrueLight has the buttons pre-assigned to the programs mentioned below the picture. It will leave everything else stock.

If that's not what you are looking for, then for now stay away. I'm still hoping that thatguyinoc will be able to incorporate the 4th side into his Customizer, but I know it takes a lot of work.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, I did install it and it works but I would like to be able to change the icons/programs without going into the registry......so will wait and see if anyone can make that an option. I do appreciate your quick response.

I'm not going to speak for musicman as far as what he's managed or been able to do. But, since you're asking, I'll give you the best update to it I know of.

After talking with him the thought was to go with a 4x3 layout instead of the standard iphone 4x4. Reason for this was to gain a bit more usability on the 2.8" touch screen as compared to the larger iphone one. It allows for slightly larger icons which become a bit more finger and screen friendly.

To continue along, it was thought that the "4th" Wall would work best being a launch of standard apps, ones that are for the most part native to the Touch. This way, anyone could use that 4th wall without having to do a lot of registry editing to get it working. However, on the "3rd Wall" (standard launcher) you'd be able to swap out icons and such to get a bit more of customization.

To go with this, I tried to give him a general idea of what I'd love to see the other two walls (Media and Contacts) to look like.

Finally, to give it a slightly unique feel compared to the standard iPhone themes, I went with a "Chalkboard" icon set of iphone icons I found online.

Now granted, all this is just kind of in theory right now. Over the weekend I hope to look a bit further into how to actually make the REAL background files, and actually animate if I have to. However, Music was working on it a bit. Saying that though...he's got a real life, other things PPC related i'm sure, so personally I'm not expecting some giant leap anytime soon.

Anyways, for anyone curious, here's the prototype for the 4 walls I have sent over to him to see what he could do:

4th Wall - Stock Launcher (as a note, I've redone the excel and word icon so they are white inside, thus matching the others.)

S2U2...Calender...Contacts
Word...Excel...Notes
Photos...camera...Live Search
IM...Browser...WMP

3rd Wall - Custom App Launcher

S2U2...Pocket IRC...Games folder
Weather...Real Player...Spb Clock
SMS...Calculator...MS Money
IM...Browser...WMP

2nd Wall - Media Launcher

1st Wall - Contacts

Rough layout there, we'll see if it continues forward and in what incarnation...but it is nice to know some others may be interested.

LOL. This is freaking awesome.

I have a Sprint Touch. My cube is modded with the HTC default icons (not the Sprint ones) and all my programs on the 6-side and media hub are re-mapped to what I want.

I would like to add the 4th side. It seems after reading this whole thread - that I just need to add the 4thSideOnlyCAB and edit the registry to launch the programs which I want. Pretty harmless.

I'm going to make a backup first in case anything goes wrong - because, I don't want it to re-map the HTC icons back to sprint branded icons from the original device settings.

I am also searching here and at XDA for any other 4th screen that I may like better. The iCube looks interesting.

It would be my first choice to have a backgraound that matches the HTC color scheme with fancy icons to make it even more consistent.

The only downside to all this - is the fact that this will all have to be redone in a month or so when RevA rolls out. Sine, I imagine that will be a firm reset and update instead of a patch.

Dim-Ize,

there are two versions of the 4th side, so make sure you pick the one with the icons you would prefer. Both of them only add the 4th side and leave everything else alone.

You also might want to check out Polen's Vista Cube with 4 sides. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=12798

And don't forget, GPS comes in a month or so, too! Now to figure out how to integrate GoogleMaps into the Cube...hmmm.

Sure. But I need to know the filepath for vtap, and accweather as I don't have these programs installed. They should be in the \Program Files folder. let me know.
