Yep, and 99% of the mapping programs for PPC are worthless without cell reception too because they rely on a data connection to show you the map. So, for most of us it works well. Also with regular GPS you need a satellite view which is impossible indoors and very hard in a car if you aren't holding your phone up to the windshield.

There are pluses and minuses to both approaches but if Sprint enables A-GPS I will be more than happy.

REV-A and GPS beta Rom on my Mogul

i just have gotten my new updated beta rom from sprint development team today. it suppose to have all the bugs fixed that we all had earlier. i havent really played around with my phone yet. so still long run to check it out fully but i tried REV-A as phone as modem seemed to run much better than regular connection...............still testing

Viper, is this the update that will be released at the end of November, of the one that will be released next year?

The one that will come out in November just has the BT and memory fixes. The Rev. A and GPS won't come out until next year.
