So I changed ShowTitleBarClock to 2, and woah and behold, everything works!

With ShowTitleBarClock=2 and TBOpt=3, I now have date/time on top in all my apps including the Today screen, and the phone app stopped popping up!

OK, what setting value can/do I make to have the battery icon and the time show? With the stock setting (1) and with PPlus removed I have not experienced the problem for 24 hours.

Changing the clock setting with the HHC v0.8b fixed the problem. I've tested it for over a week now and no more phone app pop-ups. Thanks everyone!

I can say I love this forum!! I was just going to ask this ? on here today and found it already bumped to the top. Great!!! I'm fixed now too.

One suggestion: can the OP update what the fix was in his original post so that those later having the same problems don't have to read through a couple of pages of post for the fix. If he can also list that other option to display the time on all programs title bar. Thanks everyone for the fix.

I had the same issue. Also with my titlebar's battery metter NOT there but appearing 1/3rd the way down the screen when the PHONE app came on. I simply disabled "show titlebar clock" in the HHC appy, soft reset and viola! The battery meter is back up on the titlebar and the PHONE app popping up has stopped. Interestingly, I noticed the title bar time DOES still show up in my apps (which is fine for me) albeit not when the TODAY screen is up which is also good because I have the HTC time staring at me right there. I just discovered why: the "Display the clock on the title bar in all programs" option in Settings/Clock & Alerms/More Tab is CHECKED (Selected, or "on"). So I would reckon that if you UN-checked this as well the title bar would be 100% gone. However, I'm leaving it checked (while in the HHC it's disabled) because I like how it's set up now.

I've been using beta 2 of SPB pocket plus for about a week now and so far I haven't had the phone dial pad open up on me - it did with beta 1 though.

After a hard reset, I only put on Pocket Plus 4 and it does it. The phone dialer pops up.

This is bothersome to say the least. Has this happened to anyone else right out of the box? The first thing I did when I got my Touch was to start installing apps so mine wasn't "stock" for very long. If this is related to any of the pre-installed HTC software, it might be difficult to fix this problem.
