Ex, let it sleep for 5min, try to call and text it. Then wait 30 min, then 1hr, 2hr 3hr, etc.
Unfortunately that is not the case. People have had this issue with bone stock touches as well.

It's so weird. My alarm worked for the last two days in a row, and then today it didn't work.

I didn't install/change anything and followed the exact same process of putting it on the charger and setting the volume to max.

Going to do a hard reset today, get rid of all my 3rd. party apps and try this again.
Luckily, only had to do one soft reset today, but still missing some phone calls and getting voice mails the day after they were left. I will let you know how the hard reset goes.

First go to your start>settings>power. Uncheck both boxes Power off boxes for external and battery. Take your cover off. Remove the battery completely. Put the battery back in. Once it reboots hit the power button to put your phone into sleep mode. Then try to call yourself. Your phone should wakeup to respond. Problem fixed, however, when do you know that your phone is missing calls in order for you to do this step?

Just to provide some input...I've had my Touch for a week and have NOT had this issue.

I haven't let the battery get down to 30% though, but it surely hasn't happened when its above 50%.

ROM Version: 1.12.651.1
ROM Date: 09-18-07
Radio Version: 2.13.00
Hardware Version: 0001
PRL: 60611
PRI Version: 1.33_033

I have a 4gb storage card, but I haven't installed any programs to it (since the Touch has PLENTY of memory for my needs), and I don't have any ringers on it. I have some pictures and mp3's and that's it.

From my Remove Programs, here is everything I have:
- Cingular Shazaa MusicID
- MortScript
- SprintTV
- HTC Audio Manager (that was posted here, version 1.02.91...
- DeepFish
- TodayAgenda
- iGuidance
- Weather Watcher
- CubeIconPack
- PDANet
- MemMaid
- FlashVideoBundle
- TCPMP
- On Demand
- Sprint Mobile Email
- Resco
- Arcsoft MMS
- Kevtris 2
- OZ IM
- Live Search
- Google Maps

I had the HTC Home Customizer installed, made a few changes, and uninstalled it.

I have HTC Home plugin enabled and TodayAgenda.

I've done the power management hacks in the registry.

I've done some of the other tweaks in the registry.

So I'm thinking it is a hardware issue with certain phones because I've done most of the same things everyone in this thread has done and I haven't had the sleep mode issue...the only thing I haven't tried is the 30% battery thing.

EDIT:

How do you find the manufactured date? I can provide that as well.

I also tried the theory about pending notifications. I had a sms message that I dismissed, I put my phone to sleep (and the amber LED was still blinking about the alert), and I called myself from work and it woke up and rang right away.

I also changed my Slot Cycle to 0 from 2.

Letting the battery get to 30% isn't causing it Its the fact that the phone needs to be reset. like the step I provided. The programs don't matter. I had a bone stock with 100% battery and it was doing it. Now its working fine.

Had it happen on one of my phones yesterday. Was trying to use the MSL code to re-program the phone number on the phone. It would not let me into the EPST.exe (errored out) programing program to reset the phone number. Sprint rep on the phone could not figure out why the msl code wasn't working. Soft reset the phone, and suddenly get voice mail indicator, try the MSL code again and it goes in and works just fine. SOMETHING gets locked up on the phone for this to happen.

I was having the same problem, tried hard resets, stock programs, nothing. I fnally went to Sprint and exchanged it for a new one. I haven't had a problem for 1 week now. I've got a ton of stuff installed and it works everytime. HTC might of had a bad batch come of the line.

My first phones manufacture date was 10/17/07 and the new one was 11/09/07.
