I just got this back from Sprint:
Thank you for contacting Sprint. The information we have is consistent with what HTC told you. HTC designs all of it's phones to stop waking for alerts once the battery has dropped below a certain point unless you manually power the device back on. I personally own a HTC Mogul and it operates the same way. To our knowledge, this is intentional on HTC's part to conserve power and help prevent memory loss as a result of the battery runing out. This is not a part of the phone's design that Sprint has control over. If this is a malfunction, HTC would need to release a software update to correct it. The first scheduled software update for the Touch is in late January 2008, though we don't yet know what issues that update will address. Thank you again for contacting Sprint. We appreciate your business. Robert H. E-Care Sprint "Where our customers come first!" ---------- I also spoke to a Sprint Tech who said only one person has called regarding this issue.... The only way we could even possibly get this resolved is if many of us contact Sprint and tell them that this needs to be fixed.... So in a nutshell once your phone is under 30% battery it's useless and expect to miss your calls... Isn't that wonderful!! |

I had a FULL battery...my mattress was supposed to be delivered between 7-10 so I had it charging overnight and unplugged it around 7:10 this morning. It is now 9:30am and I have 91% battery...so Sprint is full of sh*t !
I'm so pissed not only at the money I spent on this phone, but the fact that it seems damn near impossible to find a phone that actually works. And by the time Sprint or the manufacturer actually releases a fix...it's 6 months to a year later and I am already on to the next phone (just got done with my Mogul - that STILL wasn't working 100%). I'll be calling Sprint first thing Monday morning when I get to the office... |

I had a Mogul as well with the same issues..... When I called tech support again this morning he said he did not know what could be done but I could exchange it for another one and maybe (but doubtfully) it would solve the issue... So I am on my way to the Sprint store again and I will let you know if it's fixed...... Either way I am not happy....

oh boy
please don't tell me this is also happening on the touch...its one of the biggest reasons i'm switching from the mogul because i could not find a fix for the mogul for this problem...i use to run the ilock.exe and that would haev it working fine, but now that doesn't even work... oh noooooooo ...the new treo is starting to look soo soo good

now my wifes touch just did it with 90% battery.... So I think there is a MAJOR problem with the Touches in general.. I am going to exchange both of them but I fear this is not going to solve the issue... If it is software related I am asking everyone to contact both Sprint and HTC (1-866-449-835

I had the freezing too
My phone froze about 3 times since i got it.
Tried to wake my phone up, nothing just black. soft reset my phone, and it did not notify me that i had missed a call. 3 hours later i had to soft reset my phone again and then the notification of a missed call, three hours earlier came up. On another note, I cant belive how choppy and slow the scrolling in internet explorer on my ph0one is. Opera 4 mini is slower as well. My 6800 was pretty smooth with both. Im going to disable the touch flow cube to see if that helps. If your interested, heres my youtube clip of the choppy scrolling. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbPgsOP1S6o ![]() |
