wifi
I was excited about wifi on the 6800, and messed around with it at first.
I would neglect the little button for months. Seattle's evdo coverage is great. No need for wifi here. Now im touched. |

I don't usually use it that much, but as some say... EvDO is good enough, so why use WiFi? To me, it's just there, and when I feel like toggling with it, i just go about it like every single feature on the Mogul, so no WiFi on the touch shouldn't make a lick of difference at all.

I agree - with EVDO, I've never used or missed wifi, and it seems like a hassle.
But: I'm wondering about Sprint's marketing strategy with this phone. EVDO works well, so remove wifi from the phone and make even more money on data plans... |

I don't use wifi a lot, but it can be useful. For example, I can surf on the Internet, check email, etc while on a call. Another use is to access files on a LAN which you can't do with EVDO unless you connecting through a VPN.
While I don't do VOIP on mobile phones, I suppose that wifi would be useful for that as well. It's a nice feature, but I wouldn't be heartbroken if I didn't have it. |

it's so dang slow, it really sucks to use. My 6800 doesnt even connect to any network, even if theyre available. It actually takes a time or two of me engaging, then turning off, then reengaging the wireless button for it to even detect settings anymore.
