SD card corrupt?

I can confirm that. Since the upgrade - no issues.

I had essentially stopped using the SD card for anything because of corruption (every couple of days). I upgrade the ROM and set email, WeatherPanel, etc. back to using the card - no issues at all.

Mine does this every so often. It was becoming such a pain that I just started backing the card up to my machine every time I put something new on it.

Ok I will try and explain the sd card problem I am having. The first thing I notice was my file tree on the storage card (2G A data card) looked good with windows explorer except 2 folders were missing. They both started with; _backup and _extra. Then later in the evening after downloading some 3gp files all of sudden files were not assessable. I finally have read all the post in this forum ( I was led here by a smaller forum) and I am now ready to report on my dilemma. Expansion slot in use – Device Information: 151.46 MB
Used 12.43 MB, Free is 139.04 MB. Something I just noticed that I have not seen before or in any forum; under identity it say model No: is P3050 (it should say Vogue 100).

Now under memory in the setting tab it states Storage 151.46 Mb etc same as above, however on the storage card slot it states total storage card memory is 1946.63MB with 1886.94MB free.

With file explorer my folders are intact; however folders are empty except for program folders. Under program files is the folder, all the files are there but that is the only folder.

I am able to download new programs and they stick but I cannot access the old files at all.

I have reflashed with a number of ROMs, soft reset and hard reset to no avail. Any ideas?

I had this problem previously with a 1G card but it was a little different, i.e first gibberish, then after sync I had access to all my file except for DCIM but I was able to restore not this time.

So no fixes yet? Like everyone else, I just lost all my data, cant be seen in explorer, but when I look in memory manager, it shows that 2G of my card are still used. Anyone know if there is a way to get my old files back? Got some pix I want back.

How did you guys reformat your device? I tried to do it on my Laptop (PC) but my comp wont even recognize the card. And on my phone, I cant figure out how to do it. I tried Pocket Mechanic, but couldn't figure out how to reformat it.

Upgrading to the newest Sprint Touch ROM (WM 6.1) fixed it for me...

For those of you who have this problem, I used a program called getdataback - google it and download to your pc. Stick the card in a reader and then it will show you what is still on the card.

You can access picture files and when they pull up, you can save the picture files back to your pc without purchasing the program.

I bought it and it works flawlessly! If you have important files you want to recover, this is the program to use.

I am running 6.1 but still lost all of my data, except for one lone program under program files (airstream antivirus) weird. I told Sprint that this was unacceptable as I run my business with my phone and laptop and I was considering the new Google phone at T-Mobile. They offered me a diamond for $250 with a 10 month extension.(is that a good deal) I heard from a Sprint tech that they think the problem has to do with the card moving in its slot but if you ask me I think they are guessing. Anyway I am thinking of taking my phone in to be replaced and selling it on ebay and switching to the Diamond. I back up every evening but if I have an error before my backup I can loose all my work.

Apparently, this card problem is still happening. Now, my card has not only been erased...the phone ceases to see it in some places.
