Another suggestion would be to contact the manufacturer and quickly gather up everything they need from you to issue you a replacement or repair. hope that helps, -CC |

Re: SD card corrupt?
Just thought I'd share my story as well. I just recently purchased a touch from sprint and a week later I was getting problem with sprint tv not finding my account information then I noticed my pictures not showing up and when I checked I had no access to the SD card. I tried removing and reinserting about 20 different times even after connecting the card to my card reader on the pc which showed my files but the Touch wouldn't detect a card inserted. I did a hard reset back to factory and still no luck with the card showing up on the Touch figuring the touch SD port was bad I contacted Sprint customer service got a eticket for repair and the next day went to my local repair center to have it serviced. I told the rep everything I did and he said we'll just swap out with a new phone then. He set it up and made sure it made and recieved calls, tv worked and put my origonal SD card in. The rep then asks me if I wanted all the accessories from the replacement phone as they weren't going to do anything with them so twist my arm I took them. When I got out to my car I double checked the SD and it still wasn't showing up. I took the new card from the box and it worked just fine. I guess the card was bad but oh well I now have 2 of each accessory including the battery which they never give away when replacing a phone. When I got home I reformated the SD card and it works fine. So a quirk on the part of a corrupt SD card got me a replacement phone and now I have 2 of everything .... wooohoooo!!!!!

Re: SD card corrupt?
I have had this problem 3 times since the Alltel upgrade and its really getting annoying. Initially, it happened after I installed Google Maps. I couldn't access my pictures directly from the SD Card. I could view them through TCPMP but not directly. Then I did a hard reset. Everything was fine for a week. Then, stubborn as I am (and believing that Google Maps can't possibly be the culprit), I re-installed Google Maps... and again it happened! I did a hard reset and re-installed everything again.
Then I just installed Opera Mini 4 and Jbed. No problems noted. Then when I tried to view my pictures in the SD Card, again it says "There is no application associated with"___" (name of file). Run the application first, then open the file from within the application." I can plays my music and videos (through TCPMP). I can view the pictures through TCPMP but not directly by tapping on them. Can anybody help me please? Any input/help would be much appreciated. Thank you. |

Re: SD card corrupt?
I tried checking again today but no success. No problem viewing videos and listening to music but I can't view my pictures directly.
Would anyone be able to help me? Thanks a lot. |

Re: SD card corrupt?
Lost my photos AGAIN! Thank God for ZAR (free photo recovery software). Almost pulled the trigger on a new memory card, but seems like it probably wouldn't fix the problem. Will the new rom fix it? We can only hope..

I had essentially stopped using the SD card for anything because of corruption (every couple of days). I upgrade the ROM and set email, WeatherPanel, etc. back to using the card - no issues at all. |
