So i noticed a few people asked this question already......Is there a different app or different hack to allow the Touch to receive MMS straight on the phone rather then a damn link?

Works for me without the fix. Thanks. I was dissappointed the Touch had no real piture mail, but this eases the pain a bit.

I have read all the comments made on getting the pic mail feature to work. I am not that tech savy and need to know step by step on how to get this feature to work. I went to the ppcgeekssprintmms.zip link and downloaded it. After this, I am stuck in the mud. Please help someone. I don't know what the regegit program or file is or even how to get to it. I hate to sent this phone back if I can not send pics.

I know this says that it doesn't send video right now, but when I used it on my mogul it sent video just fine. Anybody have any experience with that right now? Has anybody successfully sent video with this app?

Tried everything mentioned in this thread on my Sprint Touch but nothing seems to get the messaged to work. I don't get any of the problems that others are mentioning, it just won't work at all.

I have Palm Threaded SMS installed on my Touch. Would that have anything to do with it?

only videos less then 17 seconds. its on the mugul mms video thats the one that works

This may sound silly, but since I have no experience either but I figured out how to get it to work I'll write down what I did. Totally unscientific method:
1) I copied the .zip file and the .cab file to both my computer and the phone.
2) extracted the .zip file and the .cab file on the computer, and tried installing that way.
3) Went to the Programs folder on the phone and used the zip extractor program to extract the .zip file and the .cab file, then ran the install if there was one.
4) Re-read all the postings while I restarted my phone and computer. (I have another laptop)
5) activesynced again, looked to see if anything showed up.

Eventually, I got everything working. I really don't recommend this method, and I am sure I'll get lambasted by another. But I got it working.

Except the date thing. I get a date of m/9/08 and I think it is because the phone writes the date as January 9, 2008 not 1/9/08.

Good luck. Really, I mean it. That's what I needed.
Oh, and I need a dumb blonde smiley to insert right here, if anyone knows how to make one.

Does anyone know why WM devices don't have MMS standard on them? Any firmware updates to solve this in the future?
