are you guys talking about the alltel MMS program? If so, can you direct me where to find it? I'd rather not flash my vogue to the alltel rom just to get this program. thanks.

I'd like to know this as well. I'm certainly not going to flash a new ROM just to get this app but I would like to install it if it's available separately.

In fact, on New Year's eve, the email method worked much better and faster... near instant delivery, whereas the MMS method took either hours to deliver or never got delivered... all those folks in Times Square sending MMSs and choking the MMS servers...

Question

Is it normal to have both a "MMS" option AND a "New PIX Message (MMS)" option when sending a picture mail? Both options show up for me on the Messaging screen after I select Menu > Send from the photo album, but only the "Pix MMS" option seems to work.

The original post said to select "MMS" when sending a picture but if I use that option I get the message "You can't send this file via a flix message".

Also, if I go straight from the Home screen to Messaging, only the MMS account shows up (well, along with Text Messages and Outlook E-Mail).

Am I the only one that has both options ("MMS" and "Pix MMS") when sending? If I delete the "MMS" account will the "Pix" option still be there and work?

This is on a Sprint Touch. Thanks.

Gambit, I have exactly what you have when sending. I also have the same device. I used the cab on the first page of this topic and didn't need to use the reg edit.

Do you also find the recipient always gets the link instead of the email with attachment or with the pic in the message? Someone (in this thread pehaps) was indicating that Sprint MMS is always a link to the pic but I'd like confirmation.

EDIT: Just saw another comment by Divxrippimp on XDA Developers.com saying that Sprint always uses the link method so I guess that's it.

Thanks for the reply, I thought maybe I had not installed it correctly somehow. I did not need to do the reg edit either, btw.

And yes, Sprint just sends a text message link to a web page containing the picture...as you found out.

You mean for PPCs, right? MMS sends and receives directly to regular phones, no link.

Well, my wife's got a Sanyo Katana "regular" cell phone through Sprint and I just sent her a picture mail. She gets an alert, selects the Go soft-key and then it looks like it brings up her browser with the same picture/page in it that I would get. So while there is never an actual link displayed to "click" on, the end result appears pretty much the same.

I'm sorry everybody but this is my first PPC and I have no idea how to work it let alone put new programs on it. I've downloaded the file and I have no idea where to go from here. Someone please explain this to me like I have never used this phone before. I really want to have picture mail. Please.
