Maybe they didn't do it on purpose but I bought this phone knowing about the cab. I have approx 2 weeks left on my 30 days with Sprint. If this isn't sorted out, I guess I can turn it in and get the Verizon Touch some time in march.

I have never used this application, however, from what I've been reading all these years, the application itself is very fragile. It didn't work for everyone, then it stopped working, a workaround was found using the server IP instead of the address, etc.
If you solely rely on paying for this phone because this application exists, I would personally recommend you return it.
I just say it because it could end up in a big disappointment and frustration if it is discovered that this is not fixable.
Just in case, there's an alternative to send picture mail as attachments via a regular e-mail address (POP3, Exchange, etc.)
