Updated: 02/05 - NO LONGER WORKING on Sprint - Real Picture Mail (PicMail, MMS)

ok i am green to all his so help me out, can you send and receave pic to and from your htc touch?

i know it has a email baised set up but i am talking about the simple send pic like on other phones ?
could some one head me in the right direction and maybe help with how to install or set up that app?

no, you cannot recieve them directly... you must click a link, open internet browser, and view on sprints page...
i do not know why this is... sure seems goofy to me...

why isnt this feature built in this phone... at least being able to send via phone number and not email...
very strange and backwards if you ask me

yea that is what i was thinking you have cheaper phones hat can send and rec. pics vea text or what not but the touch can not ?

what up with that !

i thought i saw a file or app , what ever you call them that would inable you to do so !

this thread is all about it, ya, there is a program to allow you to send picturemail via phone number.. it worked ok on mine, im just shocked that this didnt come standard on this phone...
and also, yo ushould be able to receive pics/vids directly to your phone, not have to go on sprints website...

i tried installing this app and it didn't work, i'm to afraid to mess around with to many settings but now i can't seem to get it off my HTC touch, any one have any suggestions on either making it work or getting it to disappeare?

they wher talking about removeing , i think they said go to start, settings,hit the system tab on bottom, look for remove programs, chose an remove

ok after all he reading i did it, useing the internet on my htc touch i down loaded from this site, this cab file http://www.ppcgeeks.com/files/PPCGeeksSprintMMS.zip



installed to device and soft reboot,
once it was done rebooting i noticed that my back groud pic was gone, hit the start tab and i could see half of it, any way i went back and set the pic to my background no problem

ok so i then picked a pic i wanted to send and the list came up and is was on the mms and i said i could not send so i chose to send it with the newpix mms? ithink that was what it said! and i enterd the phone # and some text telling them to let me know if it worked, you know if they got the pic or what not. and at first it said that the failed but i tryed a gain and it went threw


so its like 1 am and my wife is sleeping so i do not know if she got the pic or not but does this sound like i did it right?

yep, got the mms cab removed with out anything going boom! i might try installing the cab again another day, maybe.
