Anybody have a fix for this?
Maybe you should do the touchflo and touchpanel tweak i posted on the previous page

wow now wouldnt that be nice. i have found though that some roms are better than others at keeping up. dcd's for example seem to be more laggy than say dereknjenny04's..but i am searching still for the same thing...

i have tried using teksoft's speedbooster to boost the programs text messaging and "xt9settings" (in the windows folder), but havent found which program (or process) actually controls the kb sadly

i have always had these done, and while they are nice, they do not really accomplish this end. they make it so its pressure requirement less, but doesnt speed up the spellchecker.

also just on a side note, those reg keys mentioned dont do a whole lot when increasing them. decreasing them can certainly have a dangerous affect, but i have my threshold as high as it can go (hex FFFFFFFF) and my fingerpressure usually bout 10000 (figure it doesnt matter much), and my dads old axim x5's screen is still FAR more responsive...htc just really dropped the ball (again) for how hard you have to touch the screen on an all-touch device for the hardware to recognize it...

Here is the dll that does the xt9 in the registry. Don't know if that's what your looking for...

HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\e001 0409
ime file = "\windows\et9ime.dll"

This tweak is no longer working on my device. Odd. Anyone have another solution?

i used to think/hope that it did, but im not really so sure anymore.

this reg trick has been posted 1000x but..i dont think it really does anything. for example: try running two vogue's with the exact same ROM, fresh from a hard reset.

install memmaid on both. soft reset both.
in memmaid do "optimize for extreme speed" on one, and "optimize for extreme memory" on the other. (this changes a few reg keys including those mentioned here).
shut down device. wait 15 seconds for reg entries to take effect. reboot.
try opening say the windows folder in file explorer, or an app, or whatever you want.

i did all this using my vogue and my dads vogue (same ROM date/version/build etc etc). there was no difference whatsoever in the performance . i also tried swapping which was "optimized" for which and there was still nothing.

i have been told that this does work on some devices however, but on the vogue i have never seen any effect. maybe someone could try some benchmarking?

phew that was a lot of word for a little info good luck.

Re: Registry Tweaks/Hacks/Edits - Share them here!

i agree with you ^^

i think half the registry "tweaks" are a bunch of nonsense in terms of any performance gain, if any..

it's all "hey, if i increase this value i bet it's faster!"

Try this Benchmarking software. You'll see a difference when you do lots of stuff.
