mine is installed to my device and the link in the sprint plugin doesnt work

Are you getting the same error as posted before? Or just an error saying that the file could not be found?

Anyone try the reg edit?

Same error that was stated earlier.

"The file 'Live Search' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file"

Are you confirming the error type, or did you get the error after the registry edits?

No im just confirming this error, im not comfortable messing with the registry yet. Never done it yet so still need to do some reading so i dont mess anything up.

There's a fix for this in a similar thread at pdaphonehome.com

Unfortunately I haven't gotten it to work yet (others have)

Ok, my fault. I didn't realize you were talking about the shortcut in the Sprint HTC Home thing. I thought you were talking about the actual search box that comes with Windows Live. Anyway, there is a thread in the Software forum about this. You will need to get the xml files and edit them to the correct paths for the files.
