biggggant: Which version of the Touch are you using? CDMA or GSM? On my Sprint Touch I can't do the "center on gps location" in Live Search without a GPS receiver.

if you do a ##debug# on the sprint touch, and then hit the softkey called "debug info, there is an option for the gps. my very high up buddy in sprint claims that the toucj=h and the mogul will have gps in 2008 when rev a is released. he said they are just wanting to get it working with telenav first.
so not now, but maybe someday. |

From what i understand, the AGPS in the mogul can only use gps while a call is in progress. The Touch on the otherhand, uses a different chip along with an antenna of which you can make out the outline, if you remove the battery cover.
The update scheduled for the Mogul in Q1 of 2008 is the same schedule for the Touch to get Rev. A, Picture Mail, and GPS. I wouldn't doubt all you need for your Sprint Touch is the reg keys to enable GPS. |

Where did you get that information from?

It is internal Sprint info. I've seen the same information he is talking about, but as the old PPC 6600 owners know, that doesn't mean anything. Until the update is released AND working, it is all speculation. Sprint is working to develop GPS on the Mogul (and probably the Touch, that information isn't available because the phone is barely out) but it is all internal information at this moment.
