It also has a note in the description of the LED's on page 4 that seems to say that GPS will be built in:
Right LED: Shows a flashing blue light when the Bluetooth system is powered up and ready to transmit Bluetooth radio signal, or an amber light for GPS status. Now to get my hands on it. I don't think the 4th will come soon enough. |

on page 26 it talks aboutthe external gps. this says nothing about internal gps. the led is just there if the external gps is connected to the ppc.
on page 47 it talks about the Location Setting. this is where it talks about the device’s built-in GPS chip. this is just your normal 911 crap. page 173 agian talks about the internal gps chip, but if affraid it is only the 911 crap agian. boy would i love to be wrong. if it has gps i will be getting it for sure. cody |

the touch or vogue as it was codenamed initially had a NMEA internal GPS chip and accompanying antenna, and I remember seeing this specifically on pdadb.net a while back. After Sprint "re-branded" the phone, we find that this internal chip no longer exists we also find that wi-fi is no longer available.
Thank you Sprint for crippling our product. |

These companys can be a little misleading
maybe, but I think all this "gps enabled" is a little misleading. if they are talking about e911 it should just say "e911 capable" and nothing about gps so it won't confuse people. I hope sprint never cripples hardware ever, thats why I left verizon because of what happened with bluetooth and the motorola v710, but from that experience I'v learned 5 times out of 10 anything that says "capable" is just a crippled version. I wounder if they're really trying to mislead people with the gps tho... ? I know verizon got sue'd over the v710, and I'm not saying that needs to happen here but ... the confusion must stop lol. stop advertising misleading features.... thats not to much to ask is it? lol, and if the gps is locked for some reason and they plan on unlocking it at some point then... by all means advertise that... "full GPS enabled in future update" or something
