And this is not directed to you SINNN, but if people are so concerned that an X amount of dollars phone should have something (like WIFI or GPS) and how is it possible that this phone doesn't have it... then don't buy it and go find one that suits your needs. The specs are out, the price will be out soon as well... noone is making you purchase the phone. You can check the specs, try it out, etc. before dropping $500 for a cellphone.

Sprint cripples their phones so they can limit a phone's lifespan. So in one year's time if I want the "next new thing" I have to spend more money, otherwise I have to settle for paying for monthly services. It's all about squeezing the consumer's wallet to the max. Sprint crippling their phones will not hinder me or most people from buying their products, but it still makes me upset that our carriers are in a sense "determining" the products we get. Not really a true "free market". Like I said European carriers release unlocked phones that have a multitude of features we can only wish for. Just take a look at gsmarena.com or pdadb.net. How about the whole issue of CDMA carriers failing to recognize for sim based phones. It's always a hassle to have to an ESN swap when GSM users just pop their sim card into another phone. I mean compared to other countries we are behind in not only phones but in services. Many even just "developing" nations (Somalia) reached 3G before we did. Our carriers are capable of doing all the necessary upgrades, but why do that when the consumer will just end up settling for less? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/4020259.stm |

Then you need to get ahold of that spec sheet and sue them. However, a consumer 'being under the impression' of something does not indicate you have a valid claim.
I do not know about the focus on the camera as it is one thing I do not see when I buy a phone since I barely take any pics with them. As far as GPS goes, they can always tell you that AGPS is there and that's what they meant. |

But still the whole gps fiasco is ridiculous to say the least. I promise you the 6700 on the Sprint website also said *GPS enabled* and there was no fine print or anything to indicate the need for a BT reciever. A CSR once claimed to me that I don't need a BT reciever for GPS on my 6700 and I kept asking him if he was sure and he kept confirming that I just need to sign up with their navigation service. How bad does it have to get before consumers rally up and demand better business practices? |

If Spectec ever makes a Windows Mobile 6.0 version of that microSD WiFi card, then I guess it would solve the non-Wifi issue with the Touch.

Wow... if that microSD WiFi card would work for WM6, I would chuck my ppc6700 in a heartbeat! No WiFi support option for the Sprint Touch is the only thing holding me back from snatching one up! ... We'll see what comes available...
