Can u get the new icons, like juite has in his roms, The look pretty good. Other then that, I like how it's pretty basic and then I can add to it what I want. Keeps the rom from being to bogged down to start.

Re: Vortex ROM by Andrewwelton [08/29/09] *V3, Finally*

OK had some time finally today and I left my Vogue run the HTC GPS tool for about 45 minutes while on charger (no, not in the house) - and no go still, never get a lock. I do see activity flying on the tool Info page but I never even get one single red dot.

Anyway - GPS would be nice to have but Verizon being what they are... tough.

Now - as far as your V4 goes - are you saying you were thinking of making V4 before the final build of WM 6.5 is available? That's supposed to be October right?

What's the HTC GPS tool that everyone is talking about. I can try it on my sprint vogue, since garmin is working I'm sure it will work.

Re: Vortex ROM by Andrewwelton [08/29/09] *V3, Finally*

for the tool to work you need to turn on dev data and repeat. Then open ports, then hit the nav one. The tool was posted on the last page.

In response to bigboy's post, the final build of winmo?
Any source on this? Imo Microsoft is not going to have a final of winmo 6.5 by october.... its having enough of an identity crisis as is! If they do have a final, and its in the horrid big button, big everything style I might leave winmo... that huge everything stuff is just a load of crap.
I can use my phone just fine as is with everything the size it is now (23016 build) WITHOUT my stylus, and I'm sure I'm not the only one out there who feels the same.

Also, thanks to everyone who has been supporting my ROM so far, 58 downloads for V3, best I've done so far

Ah yes one thing for V4 - can you update the Live Search client to newer Bing Search client? A small thing.

I still love this ROM.

Glad you like it bigboy, I'll try and get Bing search in it.

Also, which would you (users) rather see? Nitrogen or S2P .7 as this Rom's music player?

Also, I'm contemplating upgrading the sys version as well... more to come on this.

Re: Vortex ROM by Andrewwelton [08/29/09] *V3, Finally*

Well,

I myself do not use the music player but it's nice to have one in there...

BTW - if you are updating the build - the 23047 from the other thread looks really interesting to me. Seems like a lot has been done recently to improve finger-friendliness. And moving the Start to the bottom is a definitive plus too.

Two other things I really dig:

- Fav People
- Titanium Weather

Re: Vortex ROM by Andrewwelton [08/29/09] *V3, Finally*

Well, fave people, idk, I could look into that.

And unless I can somehow figure out whats breaking titanium weather it wont be included.... Everytime I've tried with it, it give an error, try a *fix* a new error. Just way to much hassle.
