we can leave butom menues like that and THE FIX we are looking for will make envelope functional,increase SMS preview space,and it will be even better then iolite
The only problem nobody helping us to solve it....
May be we should start new thread something like "What happend to people?"or "How about to share the fixes?"

nice it works well vin, the contacts and programs links still dont work tho ,

im trying to stuff up what you have done but i wonder if the file u r editing is the right one? i wonder if its the actual manila2d.exe , unless you have been otherwise told.

ok i built rom made sure evrything works then replaced file and all is good inbox = new works well nice work vin well done =)

you gave me an idea when you mentioned certificates i took any .provxml file to do with certificates out of the stock iolite rom and put them in my rom, but no luck on that either

Im stocked too..I cannot hack the tmail and tnsms exes and dll,Im sure the 3digit code is inside of them...but they are protected pretty good..The modules...only GOD knows how to read them :'(
I dont know if you noticed,but when
1) I flashed to stock ROM and cancelled customizations . SMS sends from "messaging"
2)If I let customizations to run ,the SMS sends from "Text Messaging"
This change has something to do with our problem .....worst part is if the file somewhere inside can change "true" to "false" after touching ....No wonder they dont want to share the fix.They probably spend countless hours to get it fixed plus most of the good people switched to TP and diamonds...
3)How come m2d from the kitchen works?

another thing i have noticed is that from the rom i have dumped there are files that have been hex edited to remove the oem signature from the end of the file manila2d.exe, Manila2D.exe.0409.mui,Manila2DUtil.exe, Manila2DPlugin.dll, Maniladesktop.dll so i tried replacing these files with my ones and no go, so then i replaced HTC_HDlg.exe, HTC_HPrf.exe and HTC_HDlg.exe.0409.mui but still no go and remember these files are from a rom that the new messaging tab works, so then i added all the oem certs i could find still no go, so i then added tmail.exe, tmailutil.dll and tmail.manifest.xml still no go

Update regarding phcanOver.dll and the battery issue.

I am on Bell, hence I found mxipupdate_bell_102.provxml was overwriting the BaseDLL entry to use a different DLL file.

I also have mxipupdate_greenbattery_110.provxml that sets it to phcan.

So I assume after a cold start/flash, basedll=phcan gets set as a defalt reg entry, but then when a soft reset/customizations run, the reg entry gets changed by the bell one.

I think that would explain why it works properly until a reset.

But then having both xml's with that setting must mean the bell one runs AFTER the greenbattery.

Assuming as much I renamed it to mxipupdate_zzzgreenbattery_110.provxml which should make it dead last alphabetically. That got me no love.

As a simple workaround I overwrote the bell DLL file with the phcan dll, and after a reset the battery icon is fine.

I am not sure what exactly triggers those xmls to run, if it's EVERY reset or not, and what order they run in. If I can answer those 2 questions then an OEM for a generic fix to this issue will be simple.

....and on a side note... stupid volume control still NOT working... grrrrrrr

I havn't gotten enough time to catch up to you guys on the new msg icon, but good job! hopefully i can procrastinate long enough for you to fix it without me..hehe

LOL at least you are making some headway we are really getting nowhere except for vin's " fix " which works well,

Vin i dont think the people that have gfound the fix wouldve been able to break mircosofts encrytion , can u explain more about this 3 digt code? how did find out about this ? and is carrier specicifc? are you using just a hex editing program and /or restorator type program? and i cannot for life of me find any reference to tnsms.exe

300 menu for SMS,350 for email...302 not working....I was hoping to look inside of the tnsms and all related dlls and find the difference in 300 menu and dialogs,make some changes,but they wont let me :'(
What I did is changed 302 to 301 renamed to inbox and it acts like "all massages"nothing big as you can see .I changed menues words and put our names just for fun and keep it our.Its prety cool ,you can customize warning messages he..he..When we find a fix,I can customize it for you and for eternlwolf,just tell me what to write he..he..how about to erase all text from google and type "Welcome back "your name"?)
