Verizon - Official WM 6.1 Update

I believe you still have to download VZNav after the update. I could get it for free for a month right now, but I'm not sure if installing VZNav would mess up getting anything else to work with the GPS later on if VZNav were to be disabled.

I prefer to use a map software with my GPS since I want it as a toy more than something I actually need, that is if I can find one that works without the dataplan. That's why I didn't install with the customizations.

Same here. I thought it was because I installed a custom ROM on top of the Verizon ROM.

Nope I have had to call them to "re-authenticate" the phone on any flash/master reset on this phone. Stock or not. Just the way this one is I guess.

Any update on the official ROM and GPS unlocking. esp with the Vahalla cab.

On a side not I flashed with the leaked ROM and want to see if anyone has flashed the official release over the leaked one with out problems.

I use the Vahalla cab without an issues with Live Search, Google Maps, and Yahoo Go.

I see a difference on the Radio version of the Official version of 3.37.78 vs 3.37.77 on the earlier leaked version. Is there any difference? How about the REVA?

I have the leaked version on my phone. All works well. I too am using google maps, live search and Google nav. flawlessly.

Will I lose the Valhalla if I upgrade to the official version?

jlh11364 - I guess you have the same question that I have since we are both running the leaked version with the vahalla cab.. I am glad to hear its flashing with no issues.

JWhipple - What ROM were you using previously? And i assume you just reinstalled the Vahalla cab correct?

I was using the original ROM that came with the phone.

Never had Vahalla installed prior, but, once I followed the instructions , installed and soft-booted, Google Maps and MS Live Search maps worked immediately after. Am also running GPS Today with no issues.

Same here, I had first ran the leaked ROM but didn't let the customizations run. I tried valhalla, didn't work. Using the new official ROM, let customizations run and run Valhalla cab, and got a GPS lock really quickly with Windows live search and Google Maps.
