The radio for this rom is outdated....3.42.30 or .50 acculy works

I'm getting great data speeds and the signal is the best i've had, I just can't get GPS to work

there is a parallel thread on 6.5 on this. i suspect vzw released this to get it beta tested on here and xda. they will try to lock out the gps so they can milk their navigator service.

the rumor was the official release is due by end of this month so i suspect this is step one ("release" a leak then get the experts here and xda to beta test bugs and cheats) then do some last minute cleanups and lockdowns (gps) before the "official" release). think of how much money they save by using your free expertise. you all are worth a boatload for your work and they get it for free.

as for vzw reauthentication i find that every time i do a hard reset i have to get reauthenticated on vzw by calling a tech support person. they always ask why as if it is their business. so a flash of new rom may cause the same kick off of the network? anyone with a cooked rom on vzw had to reauthenticate after installing a cooked rom? everytime you flash with a cooked rom?

i suspect vzw is trying to stay ahead of the hacks. maybe one day they will realize they cant.

I installed this ROM about two hours ago and have had no problems. My xv6900 seems snappier, and I have noticed increased speed with certain third party applications such as business contact manager, S2U2, and HHC. I need to find out for sure if the gps is locked to vznavigator only, and if so how to unlock it.

I like the Rom alot but now I have no GPS, and when I flash back to the Bell rom I can't get GPS to work on it now, even after using the aGPS Fix method

I did the same, i did the same I update to Verizon then re-flash my phone to Bell and I still can lock with my GPS undoor
