not sure what you are referring to.... I just copied and pasted a portion of the post so I missed the first part as it was long and not very informative.

I gotta say that the GPS does lock faster... 10 seconds from soft boot, I'm gonna sit it on standby for a while and see how she works after that.

To run or not to run? (on my still NFSFAN's 1.13 ROM)
?
Looks like we might be able to just upgrade the PPST then but with my limited skills I wouldn't be flashing this just yet, I don't know how informed you are on what this file effects, I am sure if it is kosher then NFSFAN or someone else will ok it for use. I hope and I am pretty sure it can be flashed but I wouldn't risk my phone to findout.

There was a post about someone who flashed this rom and found no difference with the gps, (GPSViewer didn't lock any faster), can people post what programs they are using to get the locks, it looks like this upgrade isn't 100% for sure GPS improvement, maybe it is the program the preson used?

what I meant to clarify is whether you are obliged to
answer to that GPSnav,
or you have the option just to ignore it and to use
whatever programs you like, an d this will not affect your GPS chip whatsoever..

It looked from that post like if you do not answer to that GPSNav, it disables GPS or something...

There might be an improvement, for that suspend-GPS-freeze problem..

PROBLEMS!!!! Official Bell Mobility GPS/Sat Radio/Rev A. Update!

Hey all,

Tried to install the Bell ROM on my unlocked Touch.

Radio: 3.37.15
PRL: 31398
PRI: 1.33_077

RMLCS's ROM v102

Bell ROM wouldn't install. Gave me an error message stating it couldn't install.

I've flashed DHarvey's ROM (most current).

Nope. No dice.

"ERROR 328: Invalid Command"

"This update utility cannot be used for your PDA Phone. Please check your update utility."

Any ideas?

Phone works fine. Just can't flash the official Bell ROM. Should I downgrade my radio to non-GPS and then reflash the original Bell ROM?

Thanks.

tichi from the post I read, it went something like this...... Bell has decided to put gps in there rom so they can charge for the gps function as everyone was just flashing the gps software, and then someone posted that the charges apply if you use GPSNav from bell, so I will just throw in a guess that if you refuse there service you will still be able to use the gps chip, hehehe, I hope. there might be but I doubt it, a clause that says if you flash this software blah blah charges apply.

Re: Official Bell Mobility GPS/Sat Radio/Rev A. Update!

Be careful, just had the same problem. It's because if you look at the filename you just downloaded, you'll see it's not the right one!!! On the HTC website, they went back to 1.19XXX whatever old version.

Be careful to download the file from the first few post on this thread.

Re: Official Bell Mobility GPS/Sat Radio/Rev A. Update!

I found GPS right from the initial install has been working very quickly
GPS Today locked in about 10 seconds on 8 Satellites...
Garmin locked on 6 within seconds...not primed. After Standby mode, garmin almost immediatly relocked onto those satellites.
