so i flashed this morning around 6 am ... it is stable no phone freezing no problems so far ... i also signed up for the gps nav for a day just so i can try it out ... gps seems to be working really good ... no standby issues ... gps locks within seconds ... tried to run igo8 but it was giving me trouble but dat could just be igo8 itself ... other than that ... i would say flash this rom and have fun using it ...

Finally! lol Flashing now, can't wait to see how GPS performs.

Edit: Ah, no! My battery is bellow 50%.... CHARGE DAMNIT, CHARGE!

I tried the GPS when going out for lunch... 10 secs for 7-9 sats in google maps. The best I ever had.

Left the phone standby for about 30min and started GPS again... 5 secs to get a lock..

I'll try it tomorrow to see if it really fix the standby issue.

no need to wait just go into bootloader and u can still flash even when ur battery is below 50% ... power camera and reset ...

Argh, just my luck, I'm getting that Invalid Command error now.

I've tried running both the downloaded .exe as well as extracting the exe and running ROMUpdateUtility.exe, same result.

To be clear, yes I have downloaded the correct 3.08.666.1 ROM. I'm currently using NSFAN's 1.13 ROM.

Edit: Gonna try flashing to the stock Sprint ROM first...

It doesnt seem to come with any GPS software other then Telenav. I installed GPS Today myself.

so i reinstalled igo 8 and i got a 10 sat lock in less than 5 seconds inside my apartment ... and around 15 sats in the balcony .... compared to before where i got no lock inside and only like 6 or 7 outside ...

So from what I have read so far:

This should upgrade your phone if it locked and stock, if it is unlocked and not stock.

It will leave your phone your phone with a SPL 2.31 if it started that way( not sure about stock upgrades as no one posted there SPL after a stock upgrade) I hope a stock SPL changes to something that makes it safer to go back to stock for returns.

For most people the GPS is working great now(one post where it did not improve performance and like 5 where it has greatly.)

And we may have a new PPST file to upgrade everyone's GPS performance on bell, (maybe other carriers?) on what ever rom you are running.

I think that is a pretty condensed version of this thread.

Oh and they added video and radio streaming to this bell rom (pay if you use) but they are not working yet. GPSNav is a pay service at $3.50 per day or $8.00 a month.

You forgot to mention the satellite issue. For those who are getting 10 second locks, is this after a soft reset? What happens if you turn off your gps and drive 5 km somewhere else and reboot the gps? 10 second locks still or soft reset needed?
